The Reality we Live in: Having Hope in my Country.
My country is known as giant of Africa, a country with diverse cultures, a country that is rich and blessed with natural resources , a country with innovative young citizens and innovative minds, going through entertainment news and headlines and seeing information about Nigeria music worldwide is one of the things l love about my country, we have the best music.
Also, I will always boost of our dishes, I have seen videos of foreigners touring my country and one of the great experiences is our delicacies.
On Netflix our movies keep gaining recognition and in the music industry we find people like Burna boy, Tems and Arya Star ranking up
This prompt got me thinking, because how did a country with so much potential for it citizens, turn really bad that everyone wants to travel out.
Picking a starting point was quite emotional, it got me thinking about the problems in my country, especially the issue of insecurity, which has been a matter of concern for years , but our leaders choose to act like that isn't a problem .
Alot of interesting things have been happening in my country recently, I'm currently taking a break off the media but that doesn't stops me from getting information .
As instructed, write about the good and bad about my country, I started with the good and now the bad, there are numbers of bad things going on in my country currently, which generally involves our leaders, the political sector is currently preparing for another political campaign season and we get to see how gullible and selfish citizens will decide to follow a leader that has failed us during their last tenure and that part is hard to believe, it seems some individuals like how bad the country is becoming by the day
The fear of insecurity and how it's becoming uncontrollably in every region is very alarming, the raising alarm of poor health system and their victims , and everyone complaining about the new tax law, because we benefit nothing as citizens of the country. If we have good leaders, these issues will be fixed.
Focusing on the issue of insecurity in my country, it's really heartbreaking that safety isn't assured, especially for the common citizens.
Traveling by road is now a risky , because you don't even know what's ahead of you or what will happen.
Insecurity is one of our major problems, because that's causing more harm than good, causing sorrow for many families.
This insecurity affects lives of citizens, financial reck and many other risk.
Recently, my sisters friend had an encounter with kidnappers on her way home from work and watching her survive and fight diverse emotions, so she could forget the experience has really bothered me, the trauma plus her family used their savings to pay ransom.
I really hope our leaders help fight insecurities, keep proper protection and appoint more security officials to affected areas.
One of things I dislike in my country currently is the insecurity, we need to do better as citizens in securing ourselves, this is our home regardless, our government and leaders have shown over time that they can't help control insecurity.
The solution to this insecurity issues in my country is having the right leaders, a compassionate president and not one whose primary purpose is to steal again and fund their trips to different parts of the world .
Well, I still have hope and believe that things will get better no matter how less concerned our leaders get.
