Technology Grew from Need, Curiosity, and Ambition, Not Just Greed
Many of humans' greatest innovations were invented as a result of human needs, not greed. For instance, agriculture emerged due to the fact that humans need and rely on food to survive daily, medicine was invented because it was needed for survival and to help humans stay healthy and the need for clothing and houses was invented because people need shelter for their bodies and over their heads. Phones and the Internet enhanced communication and information. Amongst all this invention and innovation mentioned above, what motivated and drives men to invent is the need, the quest to satisfy our basic needs and not greed. Many inventions on earth were created to solve the need and for the satisfaction of humans, growth isn't only driven by conflict and greed.

Many inventions today also exist because of human curiosity and the quest to do and know more. Most inventions came simply because people just wanted to understand the world, dedicated their time and effort to studying and experimenting with things. That's a quest for knowledge and not greed. Curiosity motivated them to chase this study and come up with great ideas. Humans naturally seek questions and find answers. There's always a desire to seek answers in different aspects of the world. They explore space for answers, try to understand the universe and understand science. This search isn't rooted in greed but rather a pursuit for knowledge and search for answers. The research and discoveries made where out of a desire to understand the world, and they all became a foundation of the technologies we use today that have transformed the world.
Also, men dedicated their time and effort into exploring and creating technologies we use daily,not because of greed but because they had a need. Many major scientists and researchers came from different parts of the world to innovate and make the world better, not because they are greedy, but to solve a problem. The desire to create has always been part of humanity. If everyone has laid and not thought of ways to change the world. People naturally search for solutions to their problems and that has really improved the world.

For instance, through this, the invention of vaccines to fight deadly diseases was made possible, which minimized death caused by diseases. The internet made global communication very easy and artificial intelligence helped to improve healthcare, education, and accessibility. If there wasn't a quest for knowledge and a need to make the world better, all of this wouldn't have been invented.
Even in a peaceful, safe and quiet place, it's in the nature of humans to make it safer, more enjoyable, easier and better and these helped in solving problems and helping others. Contentment and ambition coexist, I believe people can be happy and grateful for what they have now and still strive/ struggle for more and that motivated them to invent a better life and leave a meaningful legacy and this doesn't make them greedy. Ambition isn't greed to me.

Regardless, it's difficult to ignore the role competition and conflict has played in making technology advance/ grow. Without competition, we wouldn't have better options, better, more efficient, faster technologies in our world. This competition has made different companies and nations, it has led to faster computers, very more efficient and reliable smartphones across different nations that compete for economic superiority.
Conflict and competition aren't the only engines of innovation. If people were more content and had ambition, the world would have advanced slowly. If there was no greed or any form of ambition amongst individuals, the world would have developed slowly. This progress to innovate and make the world a better place, reflects how humans are capable of creating, imagining, and solving problems to make the world a better and enjoyable place. A perfect doesn't take away creativity and discovery.
