Respecting and Choosing Family Moments Over our Phones.

Banning phones during specific times like morning gatherings and family meetings is something my parents have taken very serious for a long time and It's now an habit.
I can be very glued to my phone, but the moment I find myself in meetings or gatherings, not just family, I immediately lock up my phone in my bag or in my pocket, and also pay full attention to what is being said and that's why I feel very irritated when I see people lost in their phone during important meeting, it makes me feel disrespected and I guess everyother person feels same way too.
We can all agree that phones can't be banned in our current world, we are in a world of technology and we all get important information from our phones, but the habit of staying glued to the phone when there's an important discussion or meeting is disrespectful , unmannerly and unethical.

Moments spent together without the interruptions from technology and Internet are very remarkable, it creates bonds that makes the family see and understand themselves better.
It fosters love and unity amongst parents and kids, most times phones create a distraction between people even when they find themselves in same space or room.
When there's a limit or a temporal ban, it brings better realization and bond between people, it brings them to reality for a while, builds a strong connection and bond.
I have grown to appreciate every moment spent with family, moments like this create room for better ideas, shows love, shows respect and give room for engaging and intelligent conversations.
A temporal ban from phone doesn't infringe on anyone's right, it's clearly a peaceful rule and request, that won't harm anyone, but rather gives room for connections .
A ban or limit from the use of phone is clearly a rule that needs to be obeyed for a period of time, it's not an unlawful act and doesn't aim to be unfair to anyone.
When it can be referred to an infringement of right is only when it's done to harm you or done forcefully.

Limiting the use of phones during family meetings, really helps in reducing or minimizing distraction , I really find it very annoying, when there's meeting and I get distractions from phone, things like staring at a person lost in their phone during an important meeting, it could be constant notification or the phone keeps ringing, these are situations that can be avoided by utilizing a phone setting or not using the phone for few moments.
For the sake of connection and concentration during important gatherings it's really important for our phones to be limited and banned for a while, especially when the individual involved in such meetings are addicted phone users. Placing a strict limit and ban could help prevent unnecessary distractions that could interrupt the smooth flow of the meetings.
This limit doesn't seem like an infringement of right, because it's a rule given in the family that should be obeyed based on mutual respect,reasoning and understanding.

Banning and limiting of phone usage during family time is really an essential rule that keeps family bond stronger, shows respect and value , promotes unity and discourages distraction, and this is a rules I will implement in my future home daily, because it's a daily reminder that there's a world that exists outside the Internet and that's reality, it also serves a daily reminder that we should respect family gatherings, meetings, meal times by keeping our phones aside for a while and focus on each other.
This is a rule and it doesn't affect your right as a person.
