Protecting the Whistleblower Without Ignoring The Need For Verification

Being a whistle blower isn't the kind of job I have passion for or will ever have passion for.
This kind of job involves being present in places that's risky to your life and even the life of your love ones. I have never considered or dreamt of being a whistle blower and I will never.
This is the kind of job that comes with some much risk, that could cost life, could lead to social stigma, threat to your loves ones and could even land you into troubles too.
Definitely, not the kind of job meant for everyone, it's meant for people with the passion and courage to execute the task and also those who derive certain pleasure in being in crime scenes and investigating crime.

I know jobs like this there will be promised of protection from the government, legal backup and an assurance that one will be safe, but witnessing a crime scene comes with so much risk, things could go out of control or you could even be compromised by another.
I might not have witnessed a crime scene before, but the crime scene and investigation I see in movies have taught me alot about crime and one of the things I have learnt about people who commit this crimes, they make sure someone else is found guilty, just to make sure the case is closed and there won't be a chance for it to be reopened, unless there's a miracle , this could be the whistleblowers motive or the the person who committed the crime could turn it against the whistleblower, the risk is scary.
Do you think the whistle blower is trusted?

Also, being in a crime scene, makes you suspect ,you could be a whistle blower but immediately there's a trace that leads to you, you will be seen as a suspect.
This is a very risky job and even with the government protection, I won't put risk my life and frequent crime scenes, like murder, homicide, robbery,rape and many other crimes done by sick people that could even kill me at the crime scene or use my love ones as a bait. It's a "NO" for me.

I respect people who have chosen a career path like this, it takes so much passion, courage and love to be a whistle blower, to choose a career that could end your life , exposes you to see blood , dead bodies, the cruelty of man and the length people go to actualize their motives.
Whistle blowers should be protected at all cost, they should be guided with military personnel and escorts, they shouldn't be at a crime scene alone.
They deserve good protection every seconds, at their work, home, and the security should also extend to their love ones.
Well,there are some jobs that requires one to stay alone and keep their family far and one of those jobs is being a whistle blower, staying far from home is essential, that's a way to protect the people you love.
While you are being promised protection by the government, you should also protect yourself and family.

I have also noticed from the crime movie I watch, that whistleblowers don't report a case without an evidence, reporting a case or crime scene with concrete evidence shows a whistle blower is genuine, if there's no evidence then there's no case.
To know a whistleblowers is genuine is from the evidence they send the authority they work with.
Also having more testifiers and witnesses also prove that a whistle blower is genuine.
I believe they could be bad whistleblowers out there and this where investigating if the whistleblowers might also have a motive and is is trying to make an innocent person go down for the crime.
The information given by a whistleblower needs to be verified, because the whistleblowers cannot be trusted.
Inasmuch as the whistle blower needs protection, their information needs to be verified too.
