Insecurity and Terrorism: Indirectly Promoted by the Negligent and Selfish Leaders in my Country.

It's so tragic and painful that those we elect in government and power have failed and turned leadership into a joke, governed us with bad intentions, selfish reasons and greed.
They have failed to do basic things for their citizens and even disappointed citizens in many ways.
When I saw this prompt, different thoughts and things came to my mind, I thought about the insecurity, corruption, poor infrastructure and many other ill and terrible things going on in my country, that have terribly affected the citizens and their love ones negatively.
One of the negative things, Nigeria government have failed to address is insecurity and terrorism, this evil act have made family loss their love ones , made some handicaps, disabled and also bankrupt countless family due to ransom paid to free love ones from kidnappers.
This is due to their failure to protect citizens of the country, their failure to address insecurity and make the country a safe place for all and only themselves.

Everyday we tune in to our radio channels, scroll through our social media platforms, read through the newspapers and watch on television and it's just horrible news about terrorism and most of the news is about the loss of life of poor citizens, in their homes, churches, farm lands, schools , and even market places.
The most painful part of all these is that , the perpetrator of this crimes could be granted amnesty by the government, could also negotiate peace after killing countless people, demanding for large ransom and abusing female adductors, they will be granted amnesty and they negotiate peace with the government , the same government that is meant to bring them to justice, this is so heartbreaking and tragic.

It's really a great shocker to me , that men who made poor children orphans, made parents childless, steal huge randsom from people and many other crimes and the government haven't taken a major action to eliminate them, treat them like terrorists, and serve justice to the poor souls that have been killed due to crime committed by this terrorist, but rather grant them amnesty.
And this have left me and other citizens scared of our fate and the fate of our love ones.

Situations like this, have made me to believe the leaders of my country are self centered, and that's not an attribute of good leader, a leader is suppose to bear the burden of their followers and give them justice.
But in my country, the leaders would rather secure themselves and their perimeters with countless bodyguard, ride with excort and always protect themselves and their love ones, ignoring the citizens and that's why the citizens now believe their safety is in their hands and not the hands of our leaders.
A country blessed like mine, should be a safe place for it citizens, should be a place we find peace and not injustice , chaos or see immigration as an escape from all of these horrible things happening to us

The government of Nigeria , might not have supported terrorism directly, but indirectly they have supported terrorism, because with much efforts and corporation these criminals could be brought to justice, with much support from the government it could be controlled and minimizes, but our leaders have been very negligent about the situation, chosen to protect themselves and their love ones instead of the poor farmers , travellers , students,hustlers and many other people that end up loosing their lives while struggling for daily bread.
