Growth Is Constant: The Past Shouldn't Define Us.

Growth is constant and as humans we grow, learn and unlearn daily. We learn new beliefs, opinions and personalities as we grow.
Noone deserves to be held or defined by their past. Instead of judging a person by their past, I believe our society should be more interested in embracing their present personality and more concerned about their growth and encourage growth amongst others.

Instead of punishing people for a past mistake, belief, personality and opinion, we should acknowledge them for embracing change and becoming better persons.
Humans aren't perfect and change is constant amongst us. We always evolve and grow. I can't compare the knowledge, beliefs and opinions I had years back to the opinions and beliefs I share now and that's because I grew up and learnt to thrash some old opinions and beliefs. That's how humans evolve. We learn daily and unlearn daily.

Defining people based on their past isn't fair. Humans learn from experience, education, traveling, reading and associating with others and that's why punishing them for a past opinion isn't fair or just. Instead, they should be held accountable and not punished. The primary focus should be on their growth, change in opinion and who they are currently.

I have seen people change their bad personality to good personality. During my first year in school, I used to have an hostel mate who happened to be extremely aggressive and arrogant. She could talk back at anyone, disagree with everyone and her mindset then was really awful and at some point I had to mute her status on WhatsApp. During our final year, she changed drastically, her opinions changed totally, she began to behave well-mannered and her WhatsApp status was about the Bible and prayers. My friends were surprised, but we never judged her based on her past personality . Instead, we encouraged her and praised her for embracing change and growth. I believe she was young and dumb and that was what influenced her opinion as a young girl, but she changed to be a better person and that's what mattered to us.
Growth is what matters the most and that's what she did.
It takes maturity to grow and people should be acknowledged for embracing growth.

I fully understand the harm, consequences and even how misleading their actions in the past must have caused to many people, but giving them another chance to show their present personality and opinions is another opportunity to see if they are changed. Making people pay or get punished for their past sins isn't always the best approach.
Getting to see and experience them for who they have grown to become and letting go of the past is fair enough. It's extremely unjust to judge people based on a past belief . Everyone deserves a second chance and experience.

I believe I had my own dumb opinion in the past , but I don't think I posted those opinions, they ended on my note.. I believe most opinions or ideas should end in your note, being loud about them could cause more harm than expected. I have heard stories of people losing jobs and contracts because of an old post, especially amongst celebrities, and if they have kept their opinions to themselves, it hadn't cause future issues. But regardless, the world should focus on their recent personality, change is constant and people change. Society should recognize and acknowledge growth because education, traveling, reading, friends and even experience change people.

Humans grow and evolve into better persons in the future.
They should own up to their past , instead of being punished for a past opinion. If a person is bold enough to be acknowledged and be accountable for their past, there is absolutely no reason for punishment. Everyone deserves a second chance, people grow to be better than their past .
