If I am to answer this question that was given for the hive learners topic, Would you want to clone yourself and transfer all of your memories to the clone, in essence allowing you to live out the rest of your life from the same place in a new body?
Well the answer is a big No, because every single person, who reads this, will want to hear the "Yes imagine the possibilities," but the answer is still No, the idea is a good and it's interesting too, but I don't have any reason to do it, why should I go into something that I don't have a reason to do?

So let's begin with the obvious one, What is the problem I am solving? It's not as if I'm dying, God forbid, If my body isn't failing and i'm not in an emergency situation that's forcing me to make this choice, why would I create a clone of myself even if it's an option? That's the thing about some ideas, they sound really good because they are possible, but outside of some real life situation, there's no need for them to take place.
Now flip the scenario, say I'm on my deathbed, or dealing with something terminal, and the clone is the only way I continue existing, that changes everything, and at that point it's not about curiosity, it's about survival, Nobody goes through chemo for just for the fun of it, they go because the alternative is worse, and If cloning myself was genuinely the only thing standing between me and not existing anymore, then I would seriously consider it, The reason would be obvious, I don't want to die, but short of that? I'm not interested.
I think there's a larger question hats here, but then nobody sits with what happens to the original me? If I still exist, living my life, and if there is another me, a different person with the same experiences as me up to that point, then am I the same person or just two people who share the same past up to that point but are not the same? This sounds like synching a phone to a new phone, but we aren't phones, we don't just get synced to new phones, something about the human consciousness doesn't sync that easily, and nobody has really proven that it does.
And honestly, I think there's something valuable about things ending, life having a stopping point is part of what gives it weight, If I could just keep making copies of myself every time my body wore out, what am I even living for at that point? It stops being about living and turns into just avoiding the one guaranteed thing everybody eventually faces.
My response to this prompt is a big No, Never, unless it's life and death, but outside of that I'd just like to live the life that I have now, get some things wrong, get some things right, and lets it end the way it is supposed to, rather than fear, That's just knowing the difference between that which is and that which is not.

Interesting thought! I guess a clone may look like me, but it would still have its own experiences and memories. 😊
Yeah...
A clone will be a clone
I feel even if a person was dying, i think thats the point of life... to live and die.. so cloning in order to stay alive isnt even cool.
I'm just saying that if at all , one would need it , it will or might be under that circumstances
