A Motto I Live By.

One personal motto that I have really found myself holding onto over the years is just this simple sentence, and it "What is meant for me will not miss me", so this might sounds very ordinary to others when they hear it, but to me it carries a lot of meaning, It is something I remind myself of especially when life does not go the way that I planned or when things feel like they delayed.

Yeah , I did not just wake up one day and decide this would be my motto, It actually came from different experiences, disappointments, and those moments where I felt like I was being left behind in life, see ehn... there were times I would start to compare myself to others , like people achieving things faster, moving ahead, getting opportunities that I wanted too, and to be honest ehn, sometimes it used to bother me, I would sit down and wonder if I was doing something wrong or if life was just being unfair.

But then as time went on, I started noticing somethings, some things I thought I had lost or missed out on would later come back in another form, opportunities would show up when I least expected them, doors I thought that were closed forever would open again, sometimes even better than before, that was when this belief started forming inside of me that what truly belongs to me cannot pass me by.

So for me, it is also deeply connected to faith, me i believe that whatever God has planned for me will eventually come to me one way or another,It might not come when I want it, and it might not come how I expect it, but somehow it will surely come, and that belief alone has given me a lot of peace of mind.

One major positive impact that this motto has had in my life is that it reduces pressure,see ehn this life already comes with enough stress, responsibilities, expectations, worries about the future, but now reminding myself that what is mine will find me helps me to breathe a better, It allows me to focus more on doing my part instead of constantly worrying about results, I still work hard, but I am less anxious about timing.

It has also helped me deal with disappointment better, Instead of seeing setbacks as the end of the world, I now see them as redirection, sometimes something does not just work out, and instead of breaking down completely, I just tell myself that maybe this one was not meant for me, that mindset has help me move forward faster.

Of course, I would be lying if I said there are no negative sides, sometimes this mindset can make a person too relaxed if they are not careful, you might start thinking everything will come without effort, but I have learned that belief does not remove responsibility you still have to put in the good work also make decisions, and show up for your life, faith and effort have to go together.

Another small downside is that sometimes the waiting can be frustrating, there are moments when you really want something now, not later, and telling yourself it will come and it does not always remove the impatience completely, you see, I am still human after all.

In all sha, this is a mindset I will continue to live by because it gives me hope, calmness, and trust in the process of life, It reminds me that my journey is mine and mine alone and does not need to look like anyone else’s timeline.

At the end of the day, I truly believe that what is meant for me opportunities, happiness, growth, even success will not miss me, and that thought alone is enough to keep me going.
