Truthfully, the most crucial tools that we use on a day-to-day basis are sometimes the ones that we barely give any thought to.
When we think about work tools, most times we think about a laptop with sophisticated software, a professional equipment, or a machine performing a certain action.
In my case, one of the most valuable items that I use in my work, particularly, in writing and making content on Hive, is something that is far less complex.

My phone.
This might wound like a trite statement but this little device has become one of the most useful items in my every day life as a writer and a content writer. I usually start most of the ideas I post, thoughts I write about, and even discussions I explain to my readers on that screen.
The main reason why this is the most important working tool for me is cause it is accessible.
Motivation does not usually come at the right moment. At times I get an idea while walking or even sitting somewhere and watching what is going on around me. At such instances, the phone is the fastest method of capturing an idea before it fades away.
I quickly open my notepad and start to form the first lines of a post. In other cases it can be as simple as one sentence, a thought, or a query, or an observation that will form the basis of a whole article.
Absent such direct access most of my ideas would likely disappear before I could work on them.
An then the other crucial factor is flexibility.
I do have a specific place where I sit to write, I write the posts during the idle times of the day, and make minor modifications to paragraphs until I get the feel that the work is complete.
That process takes place naturally on the phone. Rather than waiting to find the right moment to sit down before a larger computer, I start working as long as the inspiration strikes.
One of the most crucial habits of any person who creates content on sites such as Hive is consistency. Readers like frequent updates, deep contemplations, and quality discussions. Having a constantly available device simplifies the process of sustainability of that rhythm of writing and sharing ideas significantly.
Naturally, the phone is not only handy in writing.
It is also involved in the interaction with communities. It is the same device that is used to read other posts, comment, and browse new communities on Hive.
To a great extent, it serves as my writing device and the means of interaction with the rest of the community.
However, the consideration of this question also led me to another interesting thought, what would happen should I have suddenly lost access to my device?
I would rather not think about that, but if that happend, my productivity would certainly be slowed down.
Ideas would go away, because there would be more planning and less spontaneity in the process of converting thoughts into systematized posts.
writing wouldnt be impossible but it would definitely disrupt the rhythm of the way I work.
Concurrently, there is another aspect that should be noted.
Tools will increase productivity but cannot generate the drive to work on valuable work. Curiosity, reflection, and the need to share experiences or viewpoints with others is the actual motivator of writing.
The thoughts would still be there even though the phone is not there.
However, it is easier to make those things come into reality and get them to a broader audience with the right tool.
Thinking about it now, it is obvious that a phone can be small, but the role it serves in my creative process is very crucial.

Ahah I thought that I am the only one using my phone as my valuable tools. Truthfully I make more money with my phone that any other tools.
Thanks for sharing
