Hope we all enjoyed the Easter 🐣 holidays, but such a short one that went even so quickly as work has continued as we must all keep a balance .

This prompt from #hiveleaners with a topic “Privacy or Security” seemed like a two sides-coin that one must choose from due to how it sounds. Or should I say it looks like one means that can leads to “Robbing Peter to pay Paul “ . Who in this world 🌍 does not need security that provides safety? And which government of a nation does not consider security so important? This sounds like a price to be paid for security that citizens are supposed to enjoy from the government.

Frankly speaking, things have really turned so bad where citizens of a nation stays awake all night with fear 😰 and in anxiety of not knowing what can happen the next minute due to how the government can not provide adequate protection at where and when necessary in most states in my country. Its is the duty of the government to watch over its people at all times without any cost 💲. So why trade my privacy for security that am supposed to get for free?

Privacy is always a right an individual has to himself or herself, which no one has the right to intrude into. So giving up our privacy to the government for the sake of security watch and protection over us is an intrusion into the rights of the citizens which I see as a conspiracy and force over human rights as regards to constitution.

Our personal life and the lifestyles we live are what we are supposed to keep to ourselves. Everything going on in our lives are not for the public to know because we as citizens has right to ourselves. But once we give our personal privacy to the government because of the protection we need, it then becomes intrusion which can cause a citizen to sue the government because I see it as something that is against the law. Why private informations, when the necessary ones are already in the National Data System.

As long as a citizen is not a criminal that should be watched or monitored, why should the government need his or her privacy check. This will bring discomfort in the life of every citizen, especially in homes 🏡 where husband and wife has no privacy to themselves. Where two lovers can not seat peaceful and discuss privately over issues concerning them. It sounds suffocating and can lead to frustration in the lives of many individuals just because they want to protected. This not life but a living style of life where the government are in control.

This idea I suggest should be made against the government officials who are embezzling all the funds in the country through one project or the other. In fact, the government officials should be the ones to be monitored since they are elected by the citizens and are not doing all they promised to do while in the office. Instead, they are only focused on their immediate family and themselves. They are the culprit and should be monitored including the Presidency’s office since they can’t protect the citizens but are going about with bullet proof cars.

The issue we have here in Nigeria 🇳🇬 now is all about sabotaging the government. The northerners are sabotaging the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he has removed many of the northerners from their former positions in the offices and replacing them . So they are not happy 😃 about this. This we can liken to when it was President Muhammadu Buhari that we never had any Bandit situation because Buhari is from the north . Its so sad 😞 that it is the innocent citizens that are paying the price because of no protection. Power in Nigeria 🇳🇬 has caused us lots of sorrow ☹️.

For mr God alone is the one protecting us for now, after all, He is the original protector from generation to generation. We are sick and tired of the government. People are dying everyday in the hands of the bandits and kidnappers. Enough should be enough because we as individuals can not continue to sacrifice all we have. We will continue to need our privacy as humans
