Comfort is the enemy of Achievement. [move out & grow]

In last few years, I came across many news where the corporate bigwigs in the rank of Vice President , or President or even CEO of rhe company shifting to farming. Even there is similar trend among many other professionals or engineers. They easily could get a better life at the all the comfort they wish, still they prefer to comes out of their comfort lifestyle and added a zing into their life. Farming is not an easy job still, these people leased few piece of land and started own farming. I find it so strange to learn about them changes their gear from a comfortable luxurious lifestyle to a different segment which is no where near to their qualification or career prospect. But they done it either to get own farm products or to try something fascinating in life of their choices.

I salute these people, who are ready to try the different prospect in life. I personally belive that Life is full of surprises. We never knows what is coming up to surprise us in life. There me something bad or good. It is important that a person should live with a mindset to face any situation either bad or worse. This allows people to live life fully, without any stress and anxiety. Opening up to accept and welcomes whatever is coming their way makes living life freely. However, I have seen, people sticking to life as it has been going around. Not ready to change, not ready to adapt, neither opening up to face challenge. In general, they are not ready to comes out of the comfort zone. And this makes their lifestyle very dull and less enjoyable.

Comfort zone.

It is important to know about people comfort zone. It is that phase, where people are happily content with whatever being served in life. The comfort zone is a psychological state of mind, in which a person feels at ease because they are not being tested in tough condition. This is the deawback for the growth of a persin. The more we are stuck in our comfort zone, we are more into losing the opportunities in life. Such mindset won't allow us to fully immerse ourselves in the various human experience. For example, a person is good at teaching, still he/she engage in certain 9-5 job. Because they are getting the regular salary and living happily.

People likes to remain in their comfort zone to avoid feelings of anxiety or stress, and pain. The are afraid that once they try to change or adspt to other condition, they might ends up messing their life.
Anything outside the comfort zone creates uncertainty, and uncertainty makes us feel anxious. This is a natural instinct that any human beings will avoid these feelings. This makes them reluctant to leave their comfort zone. They even face it tough to get out of it. However nothing is impossible and so does getting of comfort zone. It requires strong willpower and a change in mindset. once people takes steps to expand their horizon by stepping out of comfort zone leads to personal growth, learning, and success. Only things that require is that they should be open to learning.

Demanding situation

The reason why I am emphasizing on leaving the comfort zone is to keep ourself ready for all the situation. It happened to me in my course of life. When I am happily employed with a reputed organization, drawing a handsome salary, and living a life of my choice. The job was secure with good raring and performance. I was at leak of my career, where the next level was eagerly waiting for me. Even everyone in office already started seeing in my next bigger role. I was mentally ready to conquer the challenge in work front, but at the same time, I was preparing myself of leaving the job. The demanding situation at home / family is pulling me to take such extreme steps on threshold of a superior career in progress.

There were two options, left with me, either to choose the high paying job and live a comfortable life in city, or Moving back to hometown and settle with parents. The choice was difficult to make, as I hardly ever spent a month in my village.

Accepting life challenge.

The situation was so built up, that I opted for my second option and moved to my hometown in a village. I learnt that every relative was laughing and making tldifferrnt kind of talks. As I never stayed in village they were pretty sure that I will leave the village leaving mybparents tottering for help. However, I was mentally prepaired myself for this new challenge in life. Shifting from a comfortable life to tough village tooks a lot of brainstorming and I made it 6 years now. Those who were talking my back are now stopped whispering anything. I am always ready to accept with whatever comes innlife and the decision to move back village was a tough one. But happily accepted it and moved on.

There are no stress or anxiety with my decision. I am coming with the situation. 6 years is a long time. Living life inside the comfort zone has its benefits. People find it safe, secure, familiar, and less stressful. But Nelson Mandela words resonates better to me.
