Growth: The Expression Of Being Alive

Happy New Year everyone,
Trust you are having an amazing start of the year already 😊

A perfect world without sickness, tribulations, poverty and hunger! Hmmmm, the thought of this alone at a glance immediately seems so satisfying.
A world where everything aligns for everyone without having to pass through the seven seas and seven mountains, lol.

On the contrary, when you think deep about it, it quite seems less interesting. That is not to say that the sufferings we go through is great, nah! But I think you will agree with me that it kinda adds spices to life.

The uncertainties of life itself, a minute you are in your best mood and the next second, you are already in the middle of nowhere unsure of what next life holds for you.

That, further gets us to answering the question on if Growth is necessary?

Maybe because of the structure of the real world we live in, not the perfect one we envision, we are forced to grow because our survival and adaptation lies on how much we grow, hence, we are always under undue pressure to grow.

From the very time we were young, we were taught of how dangerous it is to be stagnated especially with the consequences of being left out. This mounts an undue pressure and the constant atmosphere of urgency on us.

I personally do not think a perfect world will take away growth, what I think is that the approach and the nature of the growth is what will change, the undue pressure would not be there because we already have everything, we are no longer forced to grow from a place of lack rather we grow because we want to.
Humans are naturally curious beings and this curiosity is definitely what is going to shift the growth pattern.

When you think deeper about this, you get to realise that most of the things we value in life is because of the contrast that comes with it...

We value courage because fear exists, else, what does bravery mean when nothing threatens you?

If there was no pressure for us to grow, I fear we might not grow to our full potential but then, this does not mean that the world must be imperfect and an abode of suffering for growth to exist, rather, I am just trying to say that Growth just like other contrasts needs tension and pressure.

Was the world never meant to be perfect?

All I can ever think of was that maybe the definition of perfection we think is not really the one meant for the human race. This is because even in the midst of little perfection, humans create problems for themselves and then struggle to find the solution to the problem they created.

A perfect world leaves little or no room for new discoveries and humans are not made for that.

In summary, I think growth will continue even in a perfect world, not because of challenges but because it is an expression of being alive.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day ahead πŸ‘

I agree with you because we humans we just go ahead and create a lot of problems for ourselves and find the solution and still pretend that it is cost by growth.

I agree with you. Just as life's challenges give us opportunities to grow and make life feel vibrant, this perspective is truly relatable because we all learn and change through our experiences.

I think it will take away growth, because we humans tends to respond to our surroundings, so if we see that everything is peaceful..we tend to relax more

That won't be out of place to be honest but I'm just personally off the opinion that it'll not allow use get to our full potential rather than stopping us from growing entirely

This nails it. I love your point here. Growth is necessary and it becomes beautiful when we go through some uncertainties because that’s what adds spices to it.

I like a statement you made, which I considered as well;

I personally do not think a perfect world will take away growth, what I think is that the approach and the nature of the growth is what will change...

The thing is, growth would be there, but what nature of growth now would be the case.

Truly, the contrasts are what makes some things exist in life. Very nice post.

I'm happy we agree in that statement because I kept on thinking about it and it's the best I could get
