The Newbies Initiative is a project designed to offer guidance and mentoring to newbies on the Blockchain. The initiative creates a solid foundation for newbies, as we are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in the vast and complex Hive ecosystem. This program is also designed to train users or accounts of old users who have not been able to develop well enough so far.
What is our mission?
We seek to enable newbies to unlock their full potential on Hive by providing comprehensive education, mentorship, and resources tailored to their needs.
Our vision?
- Training Newbies from different language-speaking Communities
- Help newbies identify their niches or strongholds, whether writing fiction, creating vlogs, gaming, or whatever.
- To see the newbies we train become pro-hivers in the future by following up on them while monitoring their growth in the hive.
- To make the initiative an ideal haven for newbies by providing them with relevant blockchain information that will serve as a guide for subsequent dealings.
- Gaining recognition and support for newbies from different community projects and dapps, i.e., ecency, leofinance, OCD, liketu, etc.
Who is eligible to apply to the Newbies Initiative?
Any new user who desires to know more about the nitty gritty of the hive Blockchain is welcome to join the program.
How do we select the participants to be enrolled from all applicants?
Participants to be considered for the Newbies Initiative must meet the following criteria:
- Not be older than one year (calculated from the first post on the platform).
- A maximum of 65 reputations
- A maximum HP of 500 (it would be cross-checked)
How many times does the Newbies Initiative run per year?
The program will run twice per year: The first batch of every year starts from April to June, and the second is from October to December. There will be a post that will be published, announcing the application date properly.
Also note that:
The initiative lasts 3 months in each batch, and accounts that are approved to enter are required to complete several tasks. Periodic training will be done through live sessions on our Discord server.
For those users who do not speak English, there will be translators to be able to bring more clarity and clear up any problems they may have at the moment.

- Markdown tutorials,
- Canva tutorials,
- blockchain gaming,
- Use of tags
- second layer tokens,
- Hive tools (hivestats, hive.vote, hivetasks)

What are some benefits of being a part of the newbies initiative?
As mentioned in our mission and vision statement, every participant will be thoroughly mentored on how to thrive best in a hive through some vital topics that will be taught. Also, curation is possible" but not guaranteed at all times.

What a wonderful initiative!
The Hive Ecosystem is very complex and trying to understand everything without a guide as a newbie can be a very uphill task. That's why I'm so glad that this initiative exists for Newbies.
