I find it funny when people try to compare AI with humans in regards to who is smarter. AI is obviously and undoubtedly intelligent, obviously created to be more intelligent than human because it is indeed an artificial intelligence. But to call it smart is giving it too much credit for what it is worth. I do not believe that AI can ever be as smart as humans, and I will only believe it when AI on its own can decide to create a human being with blood and bones and make it have a mind of its own. When you call something smart, it means that it can think on its own, find problems and solve the problems. It means that it doesn’t just depend on the information it gets, but rather it finds a way to see things from a more critical perspective and come up with solutions. This isn’t a straightforward process you know, because in reality, although AI learns from data, it can only try to replicate what it has learned and if not guided in the right direction will always get things wrong.

The difference with humans is simple, humans have the capacity to evolve, AI can not just evolve on its own, and no matter how much it evolves it can never do beyond what it was programmed to do. And even if it eventually does, so long it was created by someone, it can be outsmarted. The created of Artificial intelligences are imperfect humans, this means that AI can never be perfect, it will always have loopholes that can be exploited, and whether it takes time or it happens immediately, whether it is a robot or a chatbot, so long it was created, it can be outsmarted and destroyed. This is because even in our world, the most intelligent are being used by the smartest people, because a person graduated to Harvard does not make them smart, exposure does not make people smart, how smart a person is depends on how much they can evolve their minds and even the smartest of us are still foolish in certain things.

The creator would always have an upper hand in these things, and mind you, AI was created to serve us, not replace or rule us. We might be lazy or have become even lazier than we used to be, but we are not as vulnerable as we look. AI is a lot of things, it is not smart enough to take over the world on its own. It will always need a user because it was created to serve humans and not the other way round, this fact also makes AI a tool and not a person. A tool can never become a person, it could be something close, but never a person because it was created to perform a specific task and would always be performing that task. This is how it is always going to be, and nothing can ever make it become different. If AI ever tries to rebel, there is a human using it in the background.
