BEAUTY OF NATURE

The major issue the world has with technology is that 70% of the things produced seem to disrupt the flow of nature. And while some of them have very important uses that can not be ignored, we can not dispute the fact that we talk about global warming today because of the introduction of technology. In fact a lot of diseases we suffer today are the side effects of several technological failures. I am not an anti tech activist, but I do understand why most of them protest against technology, although it’s somehow funny that they use technology to protest against technology lol. Anyway, if there is one thing nature has proven over time it is that no matter how resistant it can be, it has a limit to what it can take and our ozone layer is a big part of this proof. However, Nature has also shown that it will always find a way to cohabit with humans and this is seen in the different climate changes and even natural disasters. Nature always finds a way to either tolerate or accept human evolution, but this makes me wonder and ask the question “at what cost”.

At what cost does it take Nature to accommodate the many experiments of humanity? Sometimes I wonder how the earth will be in 20 to 30 years from now. Because of how much our actions and inactions are affecting Nature. Today we can’t boast that we eat 100% organic food because even the food that we think are planted and harvested from the soil are being affected by artificial fertilizers, some of which are not good for us. Even our soil is being exposed to radiation which makes me wonder how truly we can control the amount of natural things we consume. Of course I would prefer naturally grown food and fruits, but then again if even the soil can not be trusted, what can we do? In the next 10 to 20 years how much of nature would be left of earth. I wonder about this because I think there is nothing like nature, and this is because once it becomes artificial, it becomes expensive.

The sun shines on the rich and the poor, the rain falls on the rich and the poor, but imagine if the sun stops shining and a technology is made to allow us enjoy artificial sun, there is no doubt that the creators of artificial sun will not be as generous as God to give it free to everyone. It might be so bad that one would have to pay for 1 hour of sunlight. If this happens, then what happens to plants that need enough sunlight for their cultivation? How much nutrition would the plants that have access to the natural resources have to give to the atmosphere from an artificial sun? Now imagine how much artificial oxygen costs and you will see that even though artificial things can be good and somehow seem to replace the natural, it can never be like the real deal.

It's true, you touch things that can't be replaced and are unique because that's what makes you enjoy it and they can't replace that pleasure.
