SCIENCE WITHOUT BOUNDARIES

Science has given us the basis to be able to understand the fundamental principles that guide certain things and over the years, we have seen how it has evolved. There have been different hypotheses that have been experimented on and different theories have been postulated. As time goes on, it’s only normal that man wants to keep on evolving and discovering more ways to understand the fundamentals and possibly change some of the things and in our today world, we see some of these areas that they try to do this.

For today’s Hivelearners topic, we are asked to share our thoughts on any area we think science has leaped. Well, I’ll say there are quite a lot of areas I feel science is trying to do too much and even already doing too much. But then, it’s something that was expected. When I take a look at the area of technology, I once heard of someone trying to make sex robots for people to be able to meet up with their sexual desires and I find that really overboard. That will be science intentionally going against the natural plan and it doesn’t sit well with me.

Yes, the aim is to meet up with the desire of people but then, it’s not a good use of knowledge if you ask me. We are met to be attracted to people of the opposite sex not toys (robots). There are so many health implications to that but I’m very sure those who want them don’t even care as long as they satisfy their sexual desires that won’t even last for an hour. Well, I don’t blame them as much as I blame those who have made it possible. If science has been able to know it’s boundaries and not try to over do things, I’m very sure we won’t have to be worried about some of these things.

Sadly, man is always out to prove some natural phenomenon wrong and because of that, they have no limits to what they think of doing. It goes on and on. After one invention, that gives them the will power to want to try something even more crazier. The thing is that, they have failed to understand that anything is possible. It might only take time. The more they keep trying to prove that something is possible, they will definitely get it but it will come with its consequences and most times, they are not ready for it - rather, humanity is not ready for it.

Science has done us a lot of good but then, sometimes the parts when they do too much is just really obvious and hard to ignore. Just because we have a knowledge about something or know how to make something possible doesn’t give us the right to do it. We have to put a lot of things into consideration, particularly humanity before going ahead with a science project. Yes, the goal most of the time is to fix a problem but then if the consequences of fixing that problem will cause even more problems then I really don’t see the need for it.

Creating a sex robot will only cause more nuisance to the world than fix a problem. I might be biased in this because I’m not in those who are facing these problems places but then, I also have my own problem that they don’t go through and it’s only humanly to compromise for one another so we can make the most out of life. I’m very sure there are other ways to go about these things and we should look for those ways or since science is so good at problem solving, they can as well figure out other better and brilliant ways to help.
