OBJECTION OVERRULED

Justifiable crime is quite a complex word and that’s because I don’t think any crime is justifiable but then, our actions can be justifiable. When it comes to living our day to day lives, there are rules and laws that guide us and most times, these laws are there to make us know that there are limits to what we as humans can and are allowed to do. We all know that it is always in our human nature to want to live our lives the way we want or the way it benefits us but these laws are what helps us sometimes to also look out for others as well.

Obeying the laws of the land is something that is expected of every one of us, except these laws are against God’s will. This happens most times due to the fact that the laws man makes is not always a perfect one, therefore, there are rooms for some adjustments but only according to God’s way and not any man’s traditions, perspectives or opinions because if we do that, we will still end up having the same or even worst outcomes.

When it comes to some actions that are justifiable, there are so many scenarios, when going against the laws of the land is justifiable and most of these cases happen especially when it comes to the decision of life and death. There are some laws that have made the life of some men not important and in cases like that, you find out that killing a person is nothing to some people because according to the law, if they are found guilty then they don’t deserve to live.

Let me tell us a story. There was once a man, he had everything, there was nothing he wanted that he couldn’t get but then, one day he chose to give up everything when he heard that some people are in debt and because they are in debt, they became slaves. Despite the fact that this man could just stay where he was and keep enjoying his wealth, he still used all that he has to help people that he doesn’t even know anything about. The painful part was that, the people he came to pay their debts, because of how wretched he now looks, made them curse him and spit him.

Somehow, these people hated him so much that they couldn’t even recognize that he was the one that paid the debt for them. It even got to a point when they had two options to save someone who has been terrorizing them and this man that paid all their debts, but guess what? They chose the terrorist over the man. I could only imagine how heart broken he must have felt. Despite all of these things, the man was not mad at them because he knew that they didn’t know he was the one who paid their debts and that was how this man died.

It was only after his death that some people started believing that he was actually the man that paid all their debts. The purpose of this story is to tell you how wicked the law can be sometimes. This man was obviously an innocent man but then, they still killed him in the end instead of doing a proper investigation to find the real culprit. Today, we experience these kind of things and more. We see how innocent people are charged for a crime they know nothing about just because the real culprit doesn’t want to pay for their sins.

In a case like this, if someone was to help that man escape from that situation even when the law says he should be killed, I believe the person who saves that man is justified because he only saved an innocent person. These days, those who pass judgements are too busy to look for the details because they are most times blinded by their greed and ignorance. As long as the life that is to be condemned is not related to them, they won’t mind what is done to that person but that is not how it should be. If we are in a position to help an innocent person escape from the wrath of the law, we shouldn’t hesitate to do so.

And one way we can save anyone is by always saying the truth and not being partial. Most people go to the courthouse to bear false witness against an innocent person just because of selfish reasons. Anyone who is guilty of the law deserves to be punished but if it is against God’s will, we should be extra careful because trust me, facing the wrath of God is even deadliest.

When it concerns matters of life and death, we should also be careful because the only one who gives life is the one who has the right to take it. No human has the power to give life neither do they have the right to take it. If anyone wants to take someone’s life, you have to ask for permission first. But if you still choose to take things into your hands, then be ready for whatever follows.
