MY PLANET, MY HOME

Humans have always been interested in those things that they don’t know, we call them the unknown. They find it more appealing. They think that the things that are unknown might be way better and greater than what they’ve already known, hence, our interest is easily piqued when we see or hear of something we have never heard of or seen before. And over the years humanity has spent on this planet Earth, thanks to our curiosity and interest in the things that are unknown, we have been able to discover so many things about our planet and even beyond. Most of which have been really helpful while for some, I’m sure it would have probably be better if we hadn’t discovered them because we have only used them the wrong way.

For this edition of the hivelearners topic, we are asked to share our thoughts on whether or not we would go to an alien planet to stay if discovered or remain in our beloved Earth. For me, this question is very simple because I have never been really curious about the other planets for a reason of me wanting to live there. I love Earth. Earth may not be the most beautiful of all planets, or the biggest or the most wonderful planet, but it has all we need as humans to survive and thrive. And even beyond that, it is a chosen planet by the one who has created them all just for humanity. So I don’t even have any reason why I want to live my life in a strange planet just because I discovered it can also accommodate live.

I agree that there might be a lot of things in the other planets that might be way better than Earth but then, Earth is a place that has so much that is yet to be discovered and I’d rather focus on exploring all the goodness of God’s creations on Earth and just read about the rest from those who are more interested in finding out about other planets. There are so many things that earth lack and for that reason, we sometimes wish we can just disappear from earth and go to another world but sorry, this is where humans are built for and striving outside here is almost impossible because even if we can, we will be needing so much to do so.

Earth is abundant in oxygen which man needs for survival and it also has just the right amount of oxygen which we as humans need to survive. I doubt if there is any other planet, maybe there is but so far, most people going out of the Earth need assistance when it comes to the air they breathe in so they can survive and that is very expensive and it is not something that just anyone can even do. Trying to live outside Earth will be a hassle and I don’t even think it is worth it for someone as myself. There is so much that Earth needs me for and I need Earth for, so I can’t afford to throw all that away in search of life in another planet and besides, I’m not sure most of my loved ones will want to join me in such adventure so I’ll be all alone and I wouldn’t want that.

So, I’m staying here. This is my home. It is beautiful and has so many amazing things that we are yet to even been seen and I’m not leaving it for any other best thing out there. I have all that I can ever ask for here on this planet and I don’t think I’m ready to start all over again trying to find my way in another world.
