BUDGET-FRIENDLY BLISS

When it comes to celebrations, we easily forget about the budget part of it and one major reason why it is so it’s because we are so happy and that’s in fact the reason why we want to celebrate. So, if we start overthinking our budget and all, usually we don’t make enough preparations as we should have and that’s why budgeting only comes after. But then, this is only because we don’t make enough plans. It’s nice to celebrate and just celebrate well rather than doing it in a way that we start regretting it later but then, there is a lot of strategizing to do in other for us not to run into deficits at the end of our celebrations.

So for this second edition of the hivelearners topic on CELEBRATING ON A BUDGET, I’ll be sharing some ways I think we can celebrate on a budget. Have a good celebration and also not run into deficits at the end of the celebration. Well, this is not something easy but I believe if we can put it into practice, we will be marveled by the results. Anything that has to do with budgeting, one thing is very important for it to work out really well and that is early planning. From the moment we know we have something to celebrate, it is from that moment or even before that, we start budgeting for it and most importantly, saving for it.

For a celebration like Christmas and end of year celebrations, it is something that everyone is aware of and that’s why it will be a failure on our part if we celebrate and run out of savings for the coming year. We have over 300 days to work towards the celebrations that usually take place at the end of the year and we owe ourselves the duty of planning well ahead for it. With this planning ahead, we are able to visualize how things should be by then and how we plan to celebrate well and also have more to sustain us for the coming year.

But then, most times, we have so many emergencies that might take up the money we have saved for our celebrations and that’s totally possible. But in cases like that, if we do our planning right from the beginning of the year, we will also be able to plan for things like this. And if we failed to do that, the best thing is to sacrifice the extravagant celebrations we have planned right from the start of the year. We can always go for a low budget celebration or even better, spend time with friends or families that have better plans than we do and maybe do ours the coming year and invite them over to celebrate with us.

Life is filled with so many uncertainties and the earlier we accept this, the better we can see that the people around us are blessings to us. Having people who can help us in times when we are struggling is a privilege. Yes, we wish we could do it all by ourselves or be the ones to do for others but now that life seems to have taken a different path, it is totally fine to depend on someone for a while as long as we keep working to get back on our feet and be a shoulder that others who find themselves in our place can also rest on.

This thing is only harder when we start overthinking things and worrying about what others will say and how they will see us but that shouldn’t be a problem. What matters is that we are honest with ourselves and that will save us a whole lot of stress and disgrace in a longer term .

Thank you for reading through. 💜

Exactly being honest with ourselves is the main thing, don't do wat you will sitdown and be regretting later. Do something that still gives peace, the important thing is everyone is happy

That’s right, T-baby.
The sooner we accept and act that way, the better for us. 🤲
