A SUNSET VIEW

The month of October was unexpectedly filled with quite a lot of things that I won’t want to forget about. The most memorable one is that I did my internal defence that month, which went well. I had my worries which were valid but I’m happy they were just worries in the end. I also particularly love the fact that I’m given an opportunity to reflect on how the past month was in order to find out the most beautiful thing I saw.

Like I already established, I have quite a lot of beautiful things I saw and experienced. But for the sake of this post, I’ll just focus on sharing the one that isn’t just in my memory but also in photographs. It was on the 15th of October to be precise. I remember going out to get my friend’s laptop to use for preparing a manuscript for my thesis. It was in the evening and I was happy because the sun was still setting, definitely the best time to go out for that walk.

My friend’s house wasn’t so far from mine so I didn’t have any reason to walk fast as I’d normally do. Immediately I stepped out of the house, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful sky. Well, it wasn’t so colourful then so I didn’t bother taking a photo of it but I loved it. At that time, all I wanted was also to just get what I wanted and go back home. Not until I walked a few steps away from my house and the view was clearer and more captivating. I quickly brought out my phone even without realising it, lol. At that point, my brain already knew it needed to see this even after that moment.

I took few shots and continued my journey. When I got to my friend’s house, he was already waiting for me because I had already placed a call letting him know I was on my way. He offered to walk me half way home and I was really happy he did. While I was returning back home, the sky looked even more beautiful than before and because of the laptop I was holding, I was finding it hard to take good shots and this is when I began appreciating the fact that my friend agreed to walk with me.

He assisted me with holding the laptop while I busied myself with taking beautiful shots of the sky. I remember how excited every shot made me feel. My friend as promised, followed me half way home. For the remaining part of my walk home, the sky kept giving me more reasons to take a shot of it and that’s how I got one of my favourites, hehe. I love this pictures more because of the reflection of the sky in the little water on the ground. It gave it a nice touch.

Going out that evening was my best decision that day. That experience left me hoping to create more time to always go on evening walks so I can keep seeing beautiful views like I did on that day. It wasn’t something so grand but it did made my evening. It even left me feeling more energetic and optimistic throughout the rest of that day which I very much needed.

That’s about my most beautiful thing experience in the month of October. Reminding me again that sometimes the happiness we seek isn’t really in the very obvious things but can be in the really little things, the little details, in my case, “A SUNSET VIEW”.

Thank you for reading through! 💜
