Let Go Of The Toxic Relationships. Your Health Is More Precious

It is another week for our weekly interaction, want to use this time to send my greetings to everyone in this community and beyond. Thank you for making last year a beautiful one for me. It is second week already and before we know it the year will end, January is always like two months put together especially for those who spent almost all during the festive season.

Some relationships are there by nature while other friendships comes as a reason of our daily association with the environment. Any which way as time progresses things grows better or worse with the friends we make due to first nurture, when I say nurture I mean the way we are brought. Things out parents made us to believe in or even the processes we have passed through as a result of our upbringing.

Another determinate factor are those people we meet on a daily basis in our environment. A child without a strong family value or even morals will easily be influenced by what the peers have to say in the environment or even when they get exposed to the larger community through the school.

Let me give this bitter analogy, I went for a seminar on better parenting sometime last year and one of the speakers bitterly expressed how he was being molested as a child by his Aunt. This kept happening and he grew with this strong hatred for the elderly people, he had fears and could not tell anyone what has been going on with him. The Mercy and Grace of God found him but he was left with the addiction of masturbation which always made him always want to be alone so he can satisfy himself.

Shortly he was saved and he began to look for ways to speak out even for people who may likely be in same position. Though it wasn't an easy fight because in this scenario it was a close relative.

Things happens that may lead one into making terrible choices such as I mentioned earlier, some relationships end up in physical violence and when it have to do with that I do not encourage the parties involved to take it lightly because it may end up in one taking the life of another just like what happened in the past in my country.

Some people don't feel to expose the other party even though they are been ill treated by them because they feel they have a heritage to protect. On my own part, if am to be in such condition I just have to seek for counsel because in the multitude of counsel there is safety. Truth be told I just have to be sound in mind and thought to be able to have a good relationship or even I will leave in fear of the unknown.

One thing I do with my kids is to let them express themselves, because kids learn to keep secrets when parents pay less attention to them. I educate them on what they should and should not take so even when someone tries to do otherwise they can easily approach me and relate with me.

Some relationships just need to be done away with not minding the person who is involved in it.

It is mostly fear of stigmatisation that prevent people from speaking up whenever they are experiencing toxicity in any form of relationship but the reality is being silent doesn't solve anything it only makes the victim suffer in silence.

Seriously, it doesn't make sense at all to be silent when being molested.

Thanks for your response
