Basic knowledge of what we need to do in the time of emergency is very important; if not, we will always be in wishful regret because of lack of knowledge. The Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge.
Motherhood has exposed me to lots of basics in the phase of emergency. I have heard from senior friends that every mother is a doctor, and I have come to believe in this so well because on different occasions I have been trapped in health issues of my children and my husband, most times at midnight, and ordinarily I should have been stranded, but because of this knowledge I get over it.Last month I woke up to find my husband purging uncontrollably. Several times I have heard how many people lose lots of electrolytes, and before you know it, they find themselves on the other side of the divide. Some weeks back I heard of someone who was in the same position for a few days, and it was not controlled, and he lost his life.
Every condition has its own first approach; if we are to use one that is meant for another and apply it to another, it may be so hazardous. Knowing what to do at the right time is so important, and also being quick to also do it is important too. In these present days and times I have come to see that on several occasions people don't bother to help those who are involved in accidents or something along the way for several reasons. First, what is so alarming is that people are so after making content. So, you come across an accident sign to see people taking recordings of what is happening there instead of making sure that those involved in such are cared for.
Another major thing that makes people stay away from helping us is because if perchance the person dies in the process, they will be forced to take the responsibility, whereas they were just trying to rescue someone. The long time it takes before road safety officers respond to cases makes matters worse.During my days in the three-week camp, I was privileged to join the Red Cross service, so we were trained in some things like emergency response, but the training was not so deep, so I can't proudly say I can perform CPR effectively.
But with the basic knowledge that I have from my personal experiences, I can do my best to arrest bleeding because I have been in such a situation for some time and was able to help myself. First aid is the first treatment given to a person before he can access a medical center. One does not have to be a professional before administering first aid to anyone, what qualifies one is just the basic knowledge. Few weeks back I saw an advert of a training on emergency response. I was so interested in it but the time failed me to apply but I will do my best to go over this next time I see such privilege again. Thank you for reading through.
After my friend passed out in front of me and almost lost her life I realized it was time to make a change. I really needed to learn how to serve lives without becoming a professional
Aah, the thought won't just leave you. We just have to learn the basics
It's so sad how backward our country is, as some who lost their lives would have been saved if given first aid treatment.
That is it my dear, we have one or more we can do
I agree with you, sometimes the fear of losing the person might make you not want to take responsibility, but just like the saying goes, a stich in time saves nine
That's the fact my dear
