Greed, Need, and Fearlessness: What Truly Drives Modern Crime?

With development we witnessed growth in many fields and we can not ignore the growth in crime also. The way we civilization is developing the crime rate is also developing. It can be anything, anytime or anywhere, people are looting others, they are cheating others, they are doing frauds and some time they committed some serious crimes also like taking live of other person. Their is a provision of punishment in the law for every crime people do when the got caught (many of them always think that they will escape but the end is same i.e. custody by law and punishment as per law). So when people know that they will get punished for the crime they are committing, then why do they do so. The simplest explanation or reason to blame for such conditions is the Emotions. We all human beings are effected by emotions and many of our actions are led by emotions. What makes a person looter, it's greed or need. Greed is self explanatory but their are other ways also to full fill the needs but they choose the easy way but that may be end up in jail. Do you think without a strong anger emotion someone can hurt another person physically? People are becoming emotional week and they want easy money. People think they will not get cough but at the end the law and order prove them wrong. Honestly, this is very idealistic thinking and it should happen this way and culprits should be punished, but here in my country the situation is different, you have to battle a long fight even to get justice and that is also if you are lucky otherwise the money leads the way. The people form other developing countries may also be aggred with me as I assume that thsi may be the situation at their end also.

Their are some other factors also which we can not ignore other the emotions, specially in countries like India. The crime rate in India also increases every day. The politicians who are supposed to make their territory safe and peaceful, are nowadays days become come of the biggest culprits. Every morning when we pickup the newspaper, you will find numerous crimes happening around us. Last day only one video went viral about the incident that happened in an area just 30 min away from my place. The video was of a medical store, where two people with masks on their faces come and shoot (with multi rounds) the cashier with the gun they were carrying. This incident happened in day light and that is in a busy market place. I really do not know the real reason behind the crime. It could be the money, it could be personal also but why they have committed the crime is not the topic but they have committed it and that is in a busy market in day light, in front of many people and flew on their motorbike. It shows how fearless they are or they are so much daring?
In India you can escape very easily if you have power or your known have the power. If you are caught on the road breaking the traffic rules you can easily bribe the traffic police officer. The law is strict but their are loop holes and implementation has biggest challenge. I believe this is the problem with every developing countries. People know that their is always an escape route and they can easily escape.
Many times we come across the news of a hit and run case or a vehicle runs over the people standing on footpath. In many such cases their is always a conflict as many time a minor was driving the vehicle and was responsible for the incident but as he or she is a son or daughter of a rich person they altered it and present like someone else was driving (mostly their driver who always in need of financial help and took the blame on himself).

So in my opinion making laws and punishment is not enough the implementation is also equally important.
