When Good Ideas Go the Wrong Way

Some weeks ago, I read something on the internet relating to this prompt, and I cannot help but ask my friend that was around me that day, We humans have a big problem because how will someone create and invent something to solve our problems, and then we turn that invention around to hurt each other?. And should we be blamed for not using those inventions in the right way, or should the inventor be blamed? We had a little discussion on that and my answer was straight forward.

Back then and even till now, I have seen how people misused some inventions, like drugs that should be used in curing sickness are being used for another purpose. Guns that were invented for security reasons are now used in all sorts of assaults. And even smartphones and computers that were invented to make our lives simple when it comes to communication and interactions are now used as a big source of scams and hates. I am hundred percent sure that when the inventors were creating those things I mentioned and the one I didn't mention, they had a good purpose for it, but look at our world today, those inventions have been messed up that if some of the inventors were still alive, they might be regretting why they created those things.

As an architect, I am proud of my work, yet a bit afraid. Because I have seen a situation where some clients asked an architect to design a plan for them, but at the end of the day, what they are storing in those buildings is contraband that the government didn't approve. And now, it looks like we cannot control a lot of things because it is beyond what we can control as a common person.

And like I said earlier, my answer was a straight one, the inventors are not to be fully blamed because those tools cannot function on their own if the perpetrators didn't use them. A gun cannot shoot on its own, and this is why the perpetrator should be blamed for misusing it.

When I was discussing this related topic with my friend back then, he said everything is maintaining balance, which i totally agree with him. There will always be new inventions that no one can stop, but wisdom should always go side by side with those inventions because if there is a new invention without a real purpose, it will always be disastrous in the hands of some people.

We all have our part to take in every way because if we really check well, we have all misused something at some point in life, and that is why inventions are created with proper care, and we all use them with our conscience in check, and then those inventions will eventually serve their main goal.

And one thing I believe in is that when we all take full responsibility for our actions, a lot of things will become right again, our society will continue to develop, and our world will be a better place to live in. When truth prevails, honesty will be the order of the day because everyone will know the difference between good and bad, and we will all understand the consequences of what we are doing because all the invention we all are seeing today were created not for evil purposes but the intention of the those using it.
