I could remember some few years ago, after I came back from a retreat, I was terrified I was down with typhoid and malaria. That really shook me for days, and even after using some drugs, it looked like they were not working. Days passed; I was still weak both internally and physically. And during that moment, I was very afraid that am I not going to recover from this because I had had malaria before and used the same drugs but did not work during that period.
In my country, most people buy drugs without a prescription from the medical personnel; we buy them just in case we might need them. We even give it to our friends that might also need it too then we use half of the drug without completing the full dosage because our health has been restored. But meanwhile, the body has never fully recovered.

Like I said earlier, some people get drugs ahead of sickness they have not seen. That is not a bad thing, but those drugs that we get are useful for the exact reason why we are using them: to tolerate something. might not be evil because as humans, we adapt easily to things so do illnesses and bacteria, and the big issue starts to set in when we start the missus of drugs.
I could remember recently when I went to buy something, and this chemist beside where I wanted to get something was telling a man to get the stronger medicine because the dosage is high just because the drugs he got earlier did not work effectively. In my mind, I was like, Drugs are a very dangerous thing to use like that because there were no lab test results to prescribe the exact drug the man should use, just a mere escalation from the chemist, and from that prescription, resistance to drugs will start developing gradually in that man.
And the truth is that the problem is around us, in the things we do, how we fall sick, and how we heal or refuse to heal. And those who are less privileged are more affected because of lack of good drugs and equipped hospitals. Even though our belief will tell us to persevere, our religion will ask us to pray, and our ego will want to do self meditation and prolong the treatment.
There is still always room for hope because we are meant to use the exact prescribed drugs from a certified medical personnel, and we must finish the dosage even when we are healed. Go for checkups at intervals and enlighten ourselves on how to go through the proper route not shortcut.

And like one of my friends who is a medical doctor and was gisting me recently, from what she said, a lot of warnings have been issued, but people kept ignoring them, and that is why some are treating themselves without a prescription, and when there is no sign of getting healed and when the right drug is being prescribed, the body slows down the rate at which it will take effect.
However, a lot of people have been taking this shortcut, but in the long run, they will suffer for it. Because when drugs stop working, panic will start to set in which will result into a regret but if we can adhere to the right thing we will start healing fast before it needs wisdom not shortcut.
Thank you for reading.
