Not only me, but I am very sure that the majority of us have, at one time in our lives, sat down, maybe outside or in the corner of our room, just to think of what is going on in this country that we call our motherland. I have done that several times and even had discussions on it with my guys because things here can give you all sorts of feelings and moods. Sometimes I hear things that make me very happy, and just a few minutes later, I hear things that change my mood, and this is why most people japa to find greener pastures, because staying here is just like entering into a marriage where my partner keeps bringing disgrace and dissatisfaction, yet I have to keep enduring.
Actually, a lot of things usually bring joy and happiness to my soul, especially when I see how some young people are now making waves for themselves irrespective of how there is no job. I see how people around me are now going into content making, learning AI, digital skills, and building offline businesses from their personal space despite the fact that our electricity is unstable and data connection can frustrate the life out of us sometimes. I have a very close friend. Despite the fact that she finished well with a solid result, she's now into freelancing because, according to her, it pays her more and gives her the space she needs. And to be honest, when I hear stuff like this, I am always filled with hope that even though the system over here is failing us, a lot of people are still very much out there doing great for themselves.

Despite the fact that some of these good things I see around me, a lot of things still give me pain in my heart when I hear them. I visited a friend recently, and I asked him how much he pays as rent. I was so surprised when he mentioned it because the space was so small compared to that huge amount. Just yesterday, I went back to a place where I priced something, I asked for the price again only to hear that it had increased. Everything is now unpredictable, and prices keep doubling without any hope that they will come down. These days, I usually budget extra when going out because of issues like that, which can be so painful because we are trying to make a living out of hard work, but it looks like we are just running on a point. And like I said earlier, a lot of people have japa; some are planning to just enter any country to make a better living, while a lot are already frustrated due to what is happening.
Sometimes I question myself: Is it worth it to continue praying for this country? Because I get angry with the way things are sometimes, I blame the bar leadership and even have some deep discussions with my guys because I know that if we want a better tomorrow, with good people in government, it must start with us. We must be able to be accountable for the good and bad we do; we must be honest and filled with integrity in all areas of life.
Personally, I have told myself to always be patient in all situations because, as It stands now, we must not stand still and we must not give up yet even though our country is not in the best shape yet, but it belongs to us and that is why we need to keep doing the best we can and not lose our humanity because things might eventually change for the best one day.

Huhm, I doubt if the situation the country is in presently can be captured in words. It's saddening, sickening, and heartbreaking. Even still, we won't stop praying, anything can happen and we trust that change will come someday.
Thanks for sharing.

I like those words you used but we ain't going to stop hoping for the best even though great damages have been done

Yes, I am hopeful that things will be better someday and we only need to be patient and not give up. At least technology is trying to make things easier for everyone who wants to do something and not become lazy. We have some things to actually do for ourselves and still be able to take care of ourselves.
In as much as a lot of terrible pains are happening around we should never stop hoping for the best that's the country would one day because that is the only thing that will keep us going despite the hardship
