Learning to Make Things Lighter

One of the things I wish I had gotten to know earlier is that not everything has to look difficult before I can call it something of value.

Before now, the way I usually approach life seems different because I do my things in a way that I feel everything is one hundred percent stress before it counts. If I have not used my strength up and it feels like I wanted to faint, it always looks like I have not done enough. I do things like a workaholic, and this followed me and stuck with me in a lot of things. When I have a small task to do, I always look for a way to overdo it. I look for all the best things to make that project work, all because I want it to be perfect, perfect, and then at the end of the day, I feel very exhausted and drained.
But as time goes on, I become wiser. I read some books, listened to some podcasts, and I heard words from those above me who are also on the same course as mine. What I learned is something small, yet very big in a way that I began to start things early, very small, and gradually, and I finish small with a better outcome.

So over time, unlike before, when I usually waited until the last minute before I started anything or any project I had, what I have been doing recently is that I no longer wait for the perfect timing or when I have everything ready. What I do now is that I start with the little resources I have, the easiest version of the task, and I continue with that until I source all the rest of the resources. If I need to write and I do not have an understanding of the topic, I jot down my little idea, do some online research, and add everything together. If I need to start any architectural project, I start with a rough sketch, then I perfect everything on my system as time goes on. If I need knowledge about anything, I take my time to learn it with zero pressure from anyone or trying to impress anybody.

At first, I was not enjoying it because I was not used to that method, and it felt like I was not doing as much as required. But anytime I start small, my mind is always at ease, and when I continue doing it, I see that the confidence I have is far better than before because I have time to correct and learn along the way rather than just rushing things just to finish. Over time, those small efforts began to build into something steady.

Another thing that has been really helpful for me is that anytime I feel like what I am doing is beginning to overload me, I take a break from it just to refresh myself and cool down before I become overwhelmed. Even if it's just to rest my eyes for a few seconds or pour water on my body just to reduce the heat. That might sound very small, but it helps me to recover gradually.
But to be honest, these life hacks of mine have not made everything perfect, but there is a bigger change that makes me feel lighter and not get stressed out after work.

Thank you for reading.

Sometimes the perfect time to do things might never come. And doing things at last minute can bring in frustration. I like the new method you are using, it opens space for creativity and helps function well.
