If there is one thing constant in life, it is change; all aspects of life experience this change, whether slow or rapid, and the effect of the change will often be felt. Taking our educational system as a point of view, I remember during my early days in school, the stories my parent told during their time in school were obviously different from the experiences I had; they used slates and charcoal as writing materials during their time, and we had books/hard covers in my time. Now look at the world today, ebooks and other forms of electronic/digital devices have taken over that function, making learning easier and faster. Information can be stored and retrieved within a few seconds. Imagine having to store the amount of information you have on your devices in hard covers? insane right?
The same can be said with our curriculum, time has experienced tremendous change, and most of the things or subjects that were relevant then have either lost their value or been overtaken by modern technologies. So the question of whether cryptocurrency and foreign exchange should be thought in school shouldn't even be up for debate, following the tremendous change and improvement these new tehnologies have brought into our lives.
No longer will graduates be looking forward to finishing school and becoming slaves to white-collar jobs, just as we can see the job market saturated today with unskilled graduates. introducing these concepts to students even as early as junior secondary school will definitely make them better investors and entreprenuers in the future, as students can learn about compound interest, risk management, and investment strategies through these real-life examples, making math more relatable and fun, they easily become digitally and financially literate, as cryptocurrency and forex exchange deals with digital currency, they also evolve with time, and even before becoming graduates, they can be financially independent, become a strongforce to the economy of the nation, creating employment, rather than waiting to be employed.
We all know how most students find mathematics difficult and boring because it mostly seem abstaract when being taught, so introducing these courses will make it even more interesting for the students, as they can practise what has been taught and even earn from it, making it more encouraging, therefore boosting their interest.
Nigerian students will be more prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future. If only our government could see through to the bright future ahead, making sure that the necessary training of the teachers is met, the infrastructure needed is also set in place, like reliable internet connectivity and devices. By doing so, the students will be well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead, they will be well-equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this ever-evolving digital economy, drive innovation, and add to our country's economic growth.
Some people see the future as a very long time to come, but the truth is that we are already in the future, and now is the right time for these studies to be implemented. Remember, change is constant, so we have to move with the change.
Digital finance is good even as it is the trend of today, however, the question is that early exposure to "kids" and not matured minds, won't it be it attendant dangers?

My dear, even after graduating they can be doing things for themselves without waiting for the government to provide them with jobs first.
