Maybe the world is so closer than we imagine because I can't help but wonder why this same topic that crossed my thoughts after watching a series that had the same storyline during the weekend became today's edition topic, I guess I'm left with no choice than you put those thought to words

But first, let me summarize the scene that got me thinking, it's a popular series known as House where a brilliant but not your regular kind doctor with no filter to his words, helps treat difficult cases on the hospital, but back to a 16 years old boy, who was admitted due to midnight terrors and other grave symptoms, was given several wrong prognoses because his parent didn't want to reveal that he was adopted and skipped sharing his original medical history which is supposed to include that of his mum and dad for a trace of any likely causes of his ailment, to cut the story short, the doctor"s unorthodox method helped detected they were not his real parent, with that update, they were able to diagnose the cause of his ailment and successfully provided a cure for him.

Guess what, he didn't care that he was adopted, even though he almost lost his life due to his parent not wanting to reveal the truth about his true identity, he loved his parent just as much because he knew that Al they did was out of a place of care and love, not wanting to hurt his feelings.

Thinking about this, I imagine if such ever happened to me and my parent are not really my parent, with the memories we've made, I don't think I would love them any lesser, whether I'm the only adopted one or not because I've never been treated any differently all my life, so there is no reason to hate them for keeping it a secret from me, their love shown to me all through my years, there must be a good reason why they would hide such secret, and it definitely is going to be out of a place of love.

For my reaction, I know it would sound like a joke to me because I'm my dad's copy, except he has an older sibling or a twin somewhere, there is no way I would believe if this news was brought to me now, still, if it turns out true, my love for them doesn't change, even if my real parent were shown to me, I don't think they can ever replace the place of the parents I"ve known all my life.

I believe if any child may come to harm if the identity of their real parent is revealed, there is no need unfolding such truth, let bygone be bygone, they are already used to their current life, and don't need any bid alteration as that, except it's a case of life and death, just like the movie I recapped, only then would there be a need for the truth to be revealed.
