The future of libraries in this digital age

Although libraries may seem outdated in today's world, it still remains vital in our digital age helping/providing an access to informations and also encouraging literacy, dedication and hard work in students.

Some years back where digitalization has not taken over, physical libraries were the best places to seek for knowledge and then we see students trooping in and out of the library in the quest to acquire knowledge not just that the library became a safe place where students find solace to read and study both for exams and the future whereby if one fail to go to the library on time he or she may not get a sit to read or make research.
Over the years the library has helped groomed brilliant and intelligent students because they never relied rather there were no other source to get what they desire rather than to ask questions or visit the libraries to sort for their various unanswered questions and till date I will say the library remains one of the best places to study enjoying outermost peace.

But then the traditional roles of libraries such as the physical building has been greatly challenged and disregarded by the constant rise in digitalization where one doesn't need to stress his or herself walking miles to go get books meanwhile from the comfort of their homes this can be gotten by merely accessing the internet or other E-books platforms, nonetheless libraries have also adapted and evolved so as to meet the needs of the society in this digital age rather than becoming obsolete by coming up with the concept of providing an E-library which is also a physical building but then it is done in such a way whereby varieties of books are accessible online by providing a 24/7 free wifi to access these books while maintaining the traditional form of reading giving no disturbance. This is not because you can't do it at home but to avoid unnecessary distractions and allowing one to concentrate fully in his or her work.

I will indeed say kudos to my institution for providing students with both an E-library and non- electronic library where students can walk in for research purposes. Now it's either you visit any of the libraries of your choice and for the E-library there is no fear of one not having data as there is a constant network to access the Internet.
Despite the fact that virtually everything has gone digital I am still of the opinion that we still have libraries and the resources for it should not be diverted into another source because there are still students who would want to visit the library for one or two works just like myself where our lecturer has made it mandatory for us to do some research work which would involve sorting for books to get the necessary information needed.

Really a nice point here . If most libraries are converted to E-Library, people will be attracted to continue visiting the library 📚 because of they will enjoy free data especially for students who are in need at all times to save every penny they could get.

Thanks for sharing @ene22 .
