Surrogacy: A conception that has given hope
I believe it is the joy of every woman to birth her child herself except if there are some complications that deprived a woman of such experience or some gen-z baddies who don't want to go out of shape due to pregnancy.
However the concept of surrogacy has been misunderstood over the years by a lot of people as they see or took surrogacy to be a crime or should I say a sin despite the fact it has been proven that the surrogate mother does not share relationship (blood) with the child in question people don't want to agree with that since it is not the actual mother that birthed the child of which their perspective is not wrong and wrong at the same time. Scientifically the surrogate that is the woman who accepted to birth another woman's baby does not share gene with the child except the emotional bond she has built and shared with the baby while still in her womb.
The coming of surrogacy has helped restore families together and brought back their faded smiles who thought they were never going to have children of their own. Some had just a child and wanted more but their health became a barrier but surrogacy also helped fulfill their wish. I know of a creator/ influencer who has two children but wanted more and then opted for surrogacy and today she has her third daughter who looks so much like her siblings and the family is good. But then there are some issues and risks involved which one is that it is super expensive and so not every family could afford it and for such families who can't afford the bills they keep living with the pain of not experiencing parenthood. Also the eggs might not develop and procedures have to be started over again lastly the surrogate herself bears ninety percent of the risk cause she might have some complications during pregnancy and worst of it lose her life during child birth which we do not pray for.
As much as surrogacy isn't bad, it is something I don't want to ever get involved with for no reason and I don't pray a reason comes as I want to carry all my children to full time, birth them the traditional way. I want to experience how it feels to carry another life inside of me, experience their cute little self playing comfortably in my tummy and also experience pregnancy cravings and what it feels like to be pampered like a baby by husband and family members. There are lots of good experiences in pregnancy and I want to experience it myself.
Also I wouldn't be selfish to say surrogacy should be abandoned in favor of the traditional method of child bearing because other women depend on it like I have earlier said. Like the woman I read about last week who had several miscarriages, twice been operated of fibroid suffered PCOS and finally had her uterus removed just became a mother recently only by surrogacy so discarding it would affect the women who depends on it to have a taste of motherhood.
Pregnancy is a kind of experience every woman would like to experience.

I do agree with you to some extent, you are right, having children is one of the biggest dream of any men or women. but there are some difficulties that can become hurdle in this, I would prefer adopting an abandoned child over going for surrogacy.
Although individual preference matters in decision making such as this else surrogacy is far more better than adoption cause biologically the child is yours like he or she carries the DNA of the intending parents. Nevertheless your decision is still a good one giving hope to the hopeless.
Oh my! My thoughts 💭 was exactly the same with yours sis. A surrogate mother does not in anyway have any blood 🩸 relationship with the baby just like you said because her egg was not used in the in vitro fertilization. This alone has made it so clear
The bond she shared with the baby during pregnancy is the only connection emotionally because she only delivers nutrients and oxygen to the baby through placenta that prevents blood 🩸 sharing. Gestational facts has made this very clear.

This is not a crime. If both husband and wife are satisfied, then the child can be born in this way. If it is not happening in a normal way, then it is not a violation of the law and it is necessary to have a child after marriage if it is for the sake of procreation and happiness.
