Mental Stability vs Technology

(edited)

Indeed technology has been a life saver to humanity and we do not take it for granted. A lot of new stuff has been created making the world almost a perfect place to survive. We know for sure that whatever the mind thinks, it wants to do....so providing a chip for humans won't be a difficult thing to do when the mind is set to do it. But one thing stands for sure that all the world's biggest inventions were created by humans and without these sets of individuals coming together to do research upon research there won't be technology today. This actually shows that whatever knowledge a chip would provide, the human brain is capable of retention. For instance if a chip would help improve memory, then the human brain can do much better because this so-called chip was built by the same human.

While still in secondary school, one of our teachers said to us that the human brain is larger in capacity compared to a dictionary and I mean the big Oxford dictionary.....while I never believed because we all know how big the dictionary is and how much of information is there so how is it possible that the brain is larger than it? Like I said I never believed, not until I saw these prompt and I decided to confirm if it's true indeed. So with my little findings, all thanks to Google and chatgtp, I found out that in terms of physical size/weight, that the average adult human brain weighs about 1.3-1.4kg while a big dictionary weighs about 2-5kg depending on the edition. So the dictionary is way bigger than the brain in terms of size. But then when we are talking about capacity/information storage, the brain has an estimated capacity of 2.5 petabytes which is millions of gigabytes, and a dictionary just stores tiny words and their meaning so the capacity of the human brain is way bigger than that of the dictionary. This confirms that my teacher was not wrong after so many years I get to confirm this.

Also, the brain has the ability to store different languages, memories and even emotions. All of our experiences are transmitted by the brain be it sad or happy ones so personally, I will never accept that a chip is inserted inside my brain all for memory sake. I will prefer to remain the way I am not because I want to continue being limited but because I know if I become consistent with wanting to improve and not just limit myself to the four walls of the class room, I will definitely get to the height I want too. This is actually funny because today someone posted a screenshot where he corrected chatgtp according to his observation and you know what chatgtp said he was right.....it made me believe that our brain can be so sharp if we engage it.

AI was programmed by man to do certain things therefore it is bound to make some mistakes here and there
The capacity of the brain can't even be fully utilized in a person's life time so we literally don't need chips to enhance memory

Yh, I believe the brain is designed exactly how we need it. So if we needed any chips we would have found a way around that naturally
