The evolution of social media: the positive and negative part of it

Social Media came to the forefront about ten to fifteen years ago and since then it has grown in popularity and there will be no stopping it. Over the years, more platforms have emerged and changes have been made to existing ones. Tell us two reasons you like social media. And also two reasons you feel it is bad.

We live in a computer age and as each day passes so as more opportunities are been created so as platforms are discovered that are meaningful and helpful in making a positive change in one's life.

The positive impact of social media

I believe with the existence of social media is has keep individuals updated and create opportunites for so many where they can showcase what they really have to offer when engaging in it.

Social media influence is really awesome because it helps in spreading what personal skills your made of and this can go viral when shared in the platform. Our skit makers today in the comedy industry can testify the impact it has helped in changing their lives when posting their funny skit online and with the influence of social media it has helped in making them go viral and popular which I believe they are benefiting from it now with the skit they make.

I believe most celebrities discovered today is through the influence of social media where they are likely to get the opportunity to meet top celebrities when their talent or personal skills go viral. In that aspect i appreciate the social media platforms for that opportunity.

I believe with the influence of social media it has created that opportunity to connect people around the world when accessing social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and so many social media handles that keeps everyone connected together is really awesome. In that aspect it helps in communicating with people both home and abroad which makes it feel that such people far away are still close to you having been in touch with them and through that aspect as well, opportunities arises through those media handles where information are passed through to get updated.

I believe people now use this opportunity to scam their fellow humans to act or disguise as someone they are not so as to get details or information about people just to duped them of their property. I really find this unacceptable because it hurts when such happen to people when they eventually become victims in the hand of this fraudsters.

They operates in different forms that If we are not careful they will take what is rightful ours with tips that are not real especially when clicking on links we are not sure of and at the same time they operates in giving rewards that looks attractive but it is just to get your attention in other to be scammed. I really find this bad about the social media platforms but we just have to be careful about it because we can't just do without accessing it.

2. Fake lives

I believe this is another aspect that influence people a lot with what they see online thinking anything they see is true or genuine which is regarded as fake lives. This have really pushed the youth this days to go into what they are not suppose to engage on, all in the name of oppression and they also what to impress so they take the negative part by engaging on what is not appropriate.

Social media like I said has connected individuals around the world and is not everyone we meet online that is actually real some do this to disguise to get your attention and in that aspect is been used to attract ladies when you flaunt fake life to them they easily fall for it. This has affected so many I want us to adjust to avoid more damages and lost in our daily lives.
