Should I say I don't really like this topic? I won't really say so. We can all agree that such a reality isn't a palatable one nor one that anybody would like to experience. Sadly, a similar reality has befallen some of us in our part of the world. The difference is that this is a war while what we experience is constant insecurity that has claimed lives and caused many to leave their homes forcefully. It might not be at our doorsteps yet, but we've felt the heat and pain. This makes imagining such a situation uneasy.

Well, no matter how we dread some things, they still happen. We've heard of wars happening before and even in the present day we've heard and seen the outcomes of recent ones which is no news to anyone. War is probably preventable, but the power tussle and control of leaders, and the desire to capture resources, make it inevitable. These are basically major reasons for the wars happening. And to consider what I would do in the event of a war seems then like a viable place to go in one's thoughts.
I despise war and wouldn't want it to happen, which I consider we all wouldn't. The cost and effects are painful. I haven't been involved in a war situation directly, so knowing what to do in the event of one seems open-ended to me. Will I join the army that I may protect my family and the lives of others, or would I find a way to safeguard my family and get them somewhere safe? I think the first instinct in such a situation is survival. How do I navigate the war and survive, alongside my family, loved ones, and in extension, people in general?

Obviously, I'll have to find a way to survive and keep my family safe as a first measure or action. At this point, it's all man for himself or rather people for themselves. So I presume every family will be doing the same. I know this at least from movie depictions of some of the live stories of these war situations. It's every family trying to stick together and survive, which is what I'll do. We'll need to stick together and find a way to stay alive. It could be hard to do that but it's the most viable and doable option I see and know that many will do.
If there are some ways I can offer assistance to the army apart from really joining them, I might do that as well. At this point, it's about surviving and doing the necessary things that could lead to that. To survive individually and as a family, I could try to collaborate with others/other families where or when necessary to have a better survivability. If there's somewhere safe we can keep put, that's where we'll be headed. And even if not, I'll ensure to bring all survival measures and instincts, while staying strong for the family.

It would be very unfortunate; it's something no one wants to see or experience.
