The idea of insurance is undeniably good, which would be nice for everyone to have. The policy is meant to provide a return; something to fall back on in the event of life's unfortunate occurrences. Life's unpredictability sets before us situations we would never choose nor have anywhere near us. But that's life. Insurance is meant to ensure that some of these occurrences are gladly taken care of through several policies; be it our car, health, house, business, or even our life itself.

I look at my part of the world and I wonder if this is really a thing. Yes, here and there, there are beneficiaries of these policies. On the grand scale, this is as substantial as little to nothing. One would wonder then, why? For people who are just getting by every day, living hand to mouth, counting on the next meal, insurance isn't something they'd look for. Largely, this is an odd subject for such people, and it begs the question, why should this matter to them since they don't even have that “thing” to insure, if not their health and life?
I was part of a health insurance scheme. It's a privilege I consider, though I still found flaws in the system. It makes one question insurance as a whole. The idea behind insurance policies is appealing. Watching some movies and knowledge from some life scenarios, I understood what value it has and why it would benefit everyone to have some of it. Nevertheless, it doesn't leave us with the questions about its authenticity, viability and necessity.
Is it a money pit that continues to swallow one's money or a financial initiative that could end up crippling a person financially in the long run? I've come to think of it this way, what if one continues to drop money without having those situations that would warrant its use? I used little of that health insurance. It felt like a waste until it was no more. What if one keeps dumping money there with no actual necessity to use it? Not much of it at least. It's just my consideration and I could be wrong on that.

My understanding of this subject isn't really broad. But then, I'd like not to see it as that “money pit” or financially crippling initiative. Well, it might have been so to some people. And in the case of places where this could be a necessity, then it might feel like that. Especially when the person isn't actually getting to use their insurance but rather keeps pumping money into it.
While I see the idea of insurance as something appealing, I'm also left concerned about some of the mishaps of the system. There are things to be sceptical about especially from the stories of some people. It makes it look like it's better off handling one's money rather than setting it in the hands of these companies and schemes that could probably make things worse rather than solve your problem when you need them. It brings a deep consideration indeed. Well, apart from my health and life, I don't think I have much to insure, for now. Until then, I'm insuring with myself.

Glad I'm not the only one. Haha.
Yes, I agree. It isn't a money pit, value comes from it. And people who want to do it should do.
Thank you.

Thank you very much.
Not all insurances or insurance companies can be trusted, some should even be reported.
Of they don't serve well, they shouldn't be trusted.
