Just Plan ...

Helloo Community,

Sincerely , I really don’t even know how people just wake up and freestyle their whole life, like… how? For me I plan and I plan very properly.

Before I take any step, no matter how small it is, I already have it written down somewhere, it might be in my notes app, a random jotter, or even just a mental checklist, but trust me, I have already thought it through , I like to know what I’m getting into before I get into it, It just gives me this kind of control and peace of mind.

For me, planning is not just about writing “to-do list” and moving on. I go deeper than that, I try to think about everything that could possibly happen, Like, what if this doesn’t work? What is plan B? If this one delays, what’s the next move? I like to prepare for different outcomes because life can be very unpredictable, So instead of being caught off guard, I would rather already have a backup in my head , Some people might say I’m overthinking, but I don’t see it like that. I see it as being ready, because one thing about life is that it doesn’t always go the way you expect, so why not prepare yourself as much as you can?

Planning also helps me stay organized. I do not like that feeling of being over the place not knowing what to do next. It stresses me out. When I have things planned out even if everything does not go perfectly at least I have direction I know where I am going and what I am trying to achieve. Planning is very important to me because it gives me a sense of control.

That being said I will not lie sometimes things still do not go according to plan. When that happens I just adjust my planning. Planning does not mean everything will be perfect it just means I am not completely lost when things go sideways I already have an idea of what to do, with my planning.

Now, people who just go with the flow, I actually admire them a little, It takes a different kind of confidence to just move without overthinking, sometimes I even wish I could be a bit more like that, just do things without stressing too much, but at the same time, I know myself. If I try to live that kind of life, I will just frel uncomfortable and disorganized, So I have accepted it, I am a planner, that is just how I function best.

I feel like planning saves time in the long run too, you might spend more time thinking and preparing at the beginning, but it reduces mistakes later, you are less likely to rush, less likely to forget important things, and more likely to get better results, and at the end of the day, both planning and being impulsive have their own advantages , but for me, planning wins every time, I would rather take my time, think things through, and move with intention than just jump into something and hope for the best.

Because if we are being sincere with ourselves "hoping for the best” is good… but having a plan? That is even better.
