Let go back to old farming method
Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to be participating in this week's prompt, technology and profits.
Technology is one thing that makes life so easy. The importance of technology in the lives of humans can’t be overemphasised. One amazing thing about technology is that it keeps advancing every day. I can remember back to the days during the period of our forefathers when farming was not easy for them; everything was manual, and the pass-through stress while farming.
But today technology and science have rephrased the agricultural sector. Farming is now very easy, from cultivating to harvesting the produce, a large amount of farm products. Of course, it has really been of help to human farmers; they don’t really have to stress themselves that much when it comes to producing food. Seeing this topic, I come to realise why there is sickness everywhere. I so much believe in what we consume killing so fast. The more we apply technology to source our food, the less nutritional they are.
I have lived in the north, and technology is really helping them. They are able to produce a large amount of food because technology assists them in most of the farm work, from the clearing of the bush to the planting and so on. Here in Nigeria, the northern part is where the people that produce the large food in the country are. No doubt that technology has really helped farmers. I can remember when I was small, my granny would always complain of pests eating up their crops. Technology has provided solutions to that.
Oh yes, technology has provided answers to many of our farming problems, but since it was introduced, it has really exposed humans to danger. Mechanised farmers are after the quantity of the foods they will sell and make money; they don’t care about the nutrient or the quality of food to humans. Most times I sit and ask myself, why is a human after money more than life? During the days of our ancestors, everything about them was natural; their fertiliser was natural, and when you eat the product, it is so healthy to humans. Most of these substances are very harmful to our health. The way people die on a daily basis is too much; most of the things we consume are the cause.
This is not a fair price to pay because people’s health is at stake.
The only thing we can do is to reduce the way we make use of technology when it comes to farming.
There is a need for us to have a little garden in our house. This farmer uses technology because they are trying to produce a lot of food for consumption.
Most of these farmers are ignorant of the harmful substances they use; enlightening them will be nice.

with more food demands than ever across the globe, I believe we need all the tech that we can get in terms of higher yield. traditional methods are fine but I don't think that will be able to produce enough food that we need. So while having some drawbacks, I think we should work more towards new tech that can improve the nutrients per crop.
Technology is helping but we need to utilise it wisely. In farming, Quality is not focused that is bad, also we need to avoid use of fertilizers.

The financial factor has led to a drive for faster and more profitable production, whatever the cost. Unfortunately, it is health that is paying the high price. That is why education, as you mention it, is what will help a lot in this respect. Regards @cindynancy

I know technology has come to stay even in the food sector of the economy, but then the rate at which technology is used in the food industry should be reduced.
Our ancestors were lucky that they lived a healthy life and there's life span is more then us. They have natural ways to grow their food while we have man made ways to grow our food.

My dear you are right that technology provide solutions to farming system but the harm is much, people rely on chemicals in producing foods now which makes it unsafe for human consumption.

The earlier method was definitely slow but it was of good quality, the days were long but we used to get good quality vegetables to eat. Now the vegetables are getting ready quickly but it is chemical and it is spoiling our internal system.
