Thoughts on War, Survival and Responsibility

I sincerely hope we never experience a world war again. I have never lived through one, but those who have all say the same thing: there is nothing good about it.

A world war doesn’t just affect soldiers; it affects millions of innocent people. And in the middle of that chaos, some people will take advantage to commit crimes and make things even worse.

The ongoing war between the USA and Iran is already being felt here in my country, and this isn’t even a world war. Just two countries, yet fuel prices have already skyrocketed.

Now imagine if more countries get involved, pulling in major global powers… it would be absolute chaos.

If a world war ever breaks out, my priority is simple: be with my family.

Not money. Not status. Not anything else.

Family.

I would rather be in a community where people still have values, where everyone is looking out for each other. Because in times like that, it is not just war you are dealing with, it is the chaos that comes with it. People taking advantage, crimes rising, survival mode kicking in.

As for joining the army? That is a no for me. I won’t risk my life for a system that won’t do the same for me. And I won’t encourage anyone close to me to do it either.

Call me selfish if you want.

But I won’t risk my life for a country that didn’t remember me when there was no war.

When things were normal, some people were busy enjoying the nation’s wealth, flying in and out, living large, spending public money like it meant nothing.

Now imagine things go bad… and suddenly it is time for sacrifice?

The same people who benefited the most should be the first to step forward and lead from the front.

Not the ones who were already struggling just to survive.

As long as war hasn’t reached my doorstep, I am staying with my family.

But the moment it does… everything changes.

At that point, it is no longer about any country. It is about survival. Protecting my life and the people I love.

People always say “go somewhere safe”, but is anywhere truly safe during war?

Sometimes, the place you know best is your best chance. Moving blindly can be more dangerous than staying put.

And let us be real, if things get that bad, borders will tighten, flights will stop, and countries will look inward first.

Just thinking about war sends a cold shiver down my spine.

There is absolutely nothing good about it. People lose their loved ones, food becomes scarce, and fear takes over… because you never know when it might come to your doorstep.

Sometimes I even wonder, who has a better chance of survival?

The man with no family, responsible for only himself… or the family man who carries the weight of others?

A single man can move freely, join any group, and leave at the slightest sign of danger.

But a family man?

He doesn’t have that luxury. He stays. He fights. He protects.

Even if it costs him everything.

In the end, all you really have is your people. Protect them, Stay smart, Stay ready.
