My greatest work tool is my phone. I doubt I can do without it for days because of how important it is to my work.

A phone is a tool that lets us live in another world. Without it, we lose connection with that world. In this era, I understand why people go the extra mile just to own a phone, and why those who cannot afford one often feel left out. It is even worse for someone who has used a phone before but suddenly cannot afford to replace it.
My phone is the medium through which I connect to the online world. With it, I am able to communicate with my bosses and friends. I can also secure gigs and use different paying apps and websites through it.
Like every other tool, a poor or faulty one affects productivity. The same applies to phones. A bad phone can slow down our work and prevent us from being as productive as we should be.
Back in 2017, when I joined the Hive platform, my phone was hanging badly. Sometimes it took me more than three hours just to write a single post. It was frustrating and often made me feel lazy about posting because I knew how stressful it would be. However, that experience also motivated me to save money and eventually buy a better phone, which made my work much easier.
My phone also contains my banking apps, crypto wallets, earning apps, and many other tools that I rely on daily. Without my phone, most of these would be unreachable.
I need my banking apps for my day-to-day transactions. I use my crypto wallet for saving money and transacting with others. I also use centralized exchanges and decentralized exchanges (DEX) for trading. All of these activities would be nearly impossible for me to manage without my phone.

The absence of my phone would completely shut me off from the online world. It would disconnect me from important apps that handle my finances, and life would become both boring and difficult. Even many offline activities today still require having a phone.
This is why I always keep some emergency funds ready in case my phone suddenly stops working or needs urgent repairs. If my phone spoils today, I can get another one within a few hours or, at the latest, the next day. That is how important it is to me and to the work I do.
We must take proper care of our phones and ensure they do not fall into the wrong hands, because that could lead to serious damage.
Just last month, a crypto trader was robbed, and his phone was stolen. Within a few minutes after the robbery, all the money in his two bank accounts was wiped out.
This is disastrous because that money was literally his life savings. A lot of theft and hacking has been happening lately, and we need to be very careful not to become victims.
Personally, I am very careful and protective of my phone, especially when I am traveling. If I notice that my pocket is not deep or secure enough, I simply put my phone in my bag to avoid stories that touch the heart.

There was a time in my life where I used to say my entire life was on my phone which was true. The day my phone got missing was the day I knew I had messed up.
Now, I always make sure to have a back up device.
Wow, my phone handles most of the things I do too. And like you said, since we know that it carries and has in it a lot of things that require that we protect it, then we should do so, so as to avoid stories that touch.
Thanks for sharing.
