I do not support regulating sugar like alcohol. Individuals should be responsible for knowing what is good for them and what is not.

In my teenage days, my dad kept complaining about how he wanted my mum to reduce the amount of Maggi she added to the soup, and in my mind, I wondered why he wanted the food to be tasteless. At some point, my mum told him to have his own pot of soup because we couldn’t be eating the same tasteless food as him after he banned the use of Maggi. He didn’t like sugar in his pap either.
I didn’t understand him until now that I am also a father, and all the things he didn’t want at that time have started to make sense to me. I have also abstained from certain things because of their harmful effects on my body.
I have stopped taking soft drinks like Pepsi, Fanta, and the rest because they are slow poison. At one point in my life, I used to take two to three bottles daily, and I am grateful to God for making me realize the side effects of these drinks in time before there was any permanent damage to my health. These drinks contain a lot of sugar, which can result in diabetes if taken too much…
Regulating soft drinks is not the solution because some people actually need more sugar in their bodies, and doctors would recommend that they take such drinks to raise their blood sugar

We keep wondering why our forefathers lived 100-plus years, while our generation dies around the age of 70. During their time, they ate fresh food, but now we consume more processed and sugary foods, from jam donuts with sugar to milky donuts.
From Energy drinks to chocolate milk, cakes, candy, and Cold Stones… living long is not an option if we keep taking all these things.
As a man, too much sugar is not good for your body. It kills your erection and testosterone. This is the reason why some can’t maintain a hard erection and end up finishing within minutes. It is due to what they have been taking and their lifestyle in general.
Too much sugar also makes you gain weight, especially belly fat. So, for people who are trying to reduce their weight and are still taking soft drinks and other foods and drinks laced with sugar, your efforts are in vain.
Even females are not free from sugar intake problems. It can make their periods more painful and also cause weight gain.
Regulating sugar or things made of sugar is not the solution. As humans, we need to learn how to take things in moderation because we abuse stuff a lot…

The good thing is I don't have bad habit when it comes to food. I rarely take soft drinks. In case of sugar I think it's not a serious issue because I don't take it on regular basis even if I love to eat sweets.

I used to be a huge fan of soft drinks I stopped taking it not because of diabetes but because of menstrual cramps.
Excessive intake of sugar affect a lot of things in our body that we do not know.
It's the way you didn't try to sugarcoat the consequences of sugar in this post 😅, you are absolutely right though.
Sugar is also beneficial to the body, it's good for the brain and also a good source of energy, the problem is taking excessive sugar.
It's important we consume sugar with caution or get substitutes like honey.
Nice post 😊
