Health Is the Real Wealth.

Physical or mental health, our health as a whole, should never be taken for granted because we are nothing without it.
We must take care of it because, without good health, we are limited. Wealth means very little if you don’t have the health to enjoy or maintain it.
One of the biggest mistakes many of us make is neglecting our health while we are young. We take unnecessary risks, consume things that harm our bodies, sacrifice sleep for things that could easily wait until another day, and ignore the warning signs. The damage may not be obvious immediately, but as we grow older, the consequences begin to show.
I remember when I used to skip sleep at night just to watch movies. There was a day I watched movies throughout the night and still refused to sleep the following morning. It wasn’t until my body fought back that I started feeling dizzy and collapsed onto the bed.

Looking back, I believe those habits weren’t good for my health. I am just grateful that nothing serious came out of it.
Physical and mental health should always go hand in hand. You can’t truly enjoy life if one is healthy while the other is suffering. A strong body means little if your mind is constantly battling stress, anxiety, or depression. Likewise, poor mental health can eventually affect your physical well-being.
Today, countless people are struggling mentally. The harsh economy, the rising cost of living, unemployment, financial pressure, heartbreak, family responsibilities, and the feeling of not living the life they hoped for can all take a serious toll. Left unchecked, these struggles can lead to depression, physical illness, and in some cases, even death.
That is why I don’t think the idea of mental health days is a bad one. In fact, it would be a valuable workplace benefit. Giving employees a few days to step away, rest, and take care of their mental well-being could improve both their health and productivity. Some people may abuse it, but that shouldn’t stop those who genuinely need it from getting support.
The truth is that everyone is fighting a battle we may not see. People often assume that the wealthy have no problems, but money doesn’t eliminate stress. Financial success can come with enormous pressure and responsibility, just as financial hardship can bring its own heavy burdens. Stress can affect anyone, regardless of their income or social status.
The same goes for those who are struggling financially, especially people with families depending on them. The weight of providing, paying bills, and worrying about the future can become overwhelming. Sometimes, what they need isn’t just more work; they need time to recover mentally so they can keep going.
Take care of your body. Take care of your mind. At the end of the day, your health is the foundation on which every other success in life is built.
