When it comes to comparing AI and humans, I feel this is an interesting topic that needs to be analyzed.
Artificial Intelligence is human intelligence compressed into a tool, so humans already know everything AI knows. Therefore, we can’t say it is smarter than us, because we are the ones who fed it the information it uses.
When it comes to speed, this is where AI beats humans. It can perform tasks within seconds, while the same tasks can take hours for humans to complete. But in the end, we can still arrive at the same result.
One thing that makes us smarter than AI is our awareness, doubt, and ability to think for ourselves. We have doubt and awareness, which help us recognize when we are not doing the right thing, but AI does not have the same.
I can’t count the number of times ChatGPT has provided me with wrong answers. The worst part is that it does so confidently, which can make you believe the answer is correct.
There was a time I tried to test how good ChatGPT was by asking it random questions.
And to my surprise, it failed all three questions I asked. This shows that the bot only knows certain things, not everything.

AI lacks real-world awareness and only predicts answers based on patterns it has seen or the data available to it. Meanwhile, humans can doubt and verify information. The ability to challenge information is a big part of intelligence, and this is something AI still lacks.
A real-life example is when you seek love or business advice from AI. It can give you information, but it can never be as valuable as advice from someone with real-life experience.
I once asked ChatGPT for a rough estimate of how much it would cost to build something and the materials needed. It listed everything, but the prices were wrong.
For example, it said a block cost ₦250, whereas at that time, a block was already ₦700. That means the information it gave me was outdated.
So when it comes to smartness, let’s give it to humans. But when it comes to speed and efficiency in getting things done, AI clearly wins.
It is really pointless to even compare AI and humans, because AI cannot create itself. It still needs to be built, trained, and maintained by humans. Without that, it won’t function effectively and may end up giving inaccurate or outdated answers.
Humans will remain the smartest. We are the ones who create, control, and improve the tools we use.
At the end of the day, we are the ones dominating the world.
