The world is full of injustice. Sometimes the innocent end up paying for the crimes of the rich because of corruption in the system.

There are punishments for every crime, yet we have people who don’t seem bothered about committing terrible acts because they already know a way out of it.
A lot of injustice is happening in my country. I can’t speak for other countries, but in mine, it is very obvious.
I have heard stories of policemen raiding at night, arresting innocent people walking on the street, and taking them to the station. Those who have family members to bail them out are released, but some unlucky ones without anyone can end up being used to replace criminals whose parents are rich. In the end, an innocent person suffers for a crime they didn’t commit.
I didn’t really believe these stories until it happened to my brother. He stepped out that night and was on his way back when he was arrested by the police around 10 pm. We were worried when he didn’t return home, so we started searching for him, but we couldn’t find him. It was someone who later told us to check the police station because there had been a raid and people were taken.
We rushed there, and to our shock, he was there. But what was even more disturbing was that they placed a tray of weed in front of him and took his picture. They did the same to some others too, which made it look like they were being framed for something they didn’t do. It made me question whether these officers are truly protecting the country or doing the opposite.
In the end, we had to pay 10k to bail him out. He was released, but I have no idea what happened to the other victims arrested with him.
There have also been several cases where supposed kidnappers are caught and beaten by mobs, only for the police to later rescue them. In the end, they are released when they should be serving jail time.

Some bandits who should face full punishment are instead sent for rehabilitation and given money to start afresh, something many good people never get.
With all this injustice, it is no surprise that people care less about consequences, because they believe there is always a way to buy their way out.
If the government keeps treating criminals this way, it will only encourage more criminal acts because they have nothing to fear.
I expected the government to kill any bandits or Boko Haram members they catch. These people have no mercy; they rape their victims even when they are expecting ransom from their families, to the extent that some victims will tell their families not to pay anymore because their lives have already been ruined.
Why would the government give such criminals a second chance? To me, it just feels like they are encouraging others to join.
This is why I love strict systems like North Korea, where the leadership doesn’t tolerate such behavior.
