There is always a part to man's life. The part to accept and a part to decline whatever life is bringing to your path let alone society.

There is always a free will to live the way we want no matter what the society brings and whatever space we are meant to be confined in. We have the power to oblige and not to even though there may be consequences following every decision we make.
Just like the first man and woman had the free will to disobey the orders of their creator by eventually eating the fruit even when they had no idea of what punishment was at stake. Everyone has their own choices to make too
In a country where we have constitutional laws that guides every citizen on what to do and not to do, the punishment that follows for whoever goes against the law and the benefit of working together with the government, we still have the free will to choose to go against the law and either face the wrath of the law afterwards or elope with our luggage of crimes.
Reason why we would always have terrorists/criminals and good citizens in the same society. The proverbial phrase of weed and good plants.
The society shuns a girl child who gets pregnant at an early stage, a lady who got pregnant out of wedlock, a couple who got married outta the church alter, a single mum, a woman who left her marriage because she was abused, someone with a tattoo been drawn on any part of their body either temporary or permanent, dropping out of school to learn a trade and so on but then people still chooses to follow their own paths as they deem fit without bothering about anyone's perspective or what the society would say especially in this dispensation that we are now.
But what if the standards and rules are not optional? When you have to compulsorily abide by whatever rules is set, when you have to stay true to what's been laid down either you're comfortable with it or not and you have no option to choose between staying in the garden of Eden or eating the forbidden fruit, then there is no other answer to settle for than the fact that there is no free will involved anymore.

Free will comes with the freedom to act and having the independence to make your decisions, not been influenced or pinned on by another party.
Just the way some children are forced to study a course simply because their parents wants it but it's actually not what they want for themselves and totally out of line of what they privately dream to become in life but then they are confined to the circle of obeying their parents to study whatever they are asked to study.
To me, in as much as there may be a structured way to do things which is been set by the society, it shouldn't be a do or die affair. Let there be power to choose and whatever decision we make, we know that we are ready to bear the consequences if there will be any.
