Sometimes it actually good to put your self into others shoes to know what they are going through before judging them.

Is easy to criticize people when we don't really know what they are passing through in their lives. Life is full of ups and downs. People go through many things that lead them to where they are today and sometimes they really wish that things could turn around for good.

Personal I don't have problem with the gender of a child. Before now I use to believe that we should be happy with whatever child we receive as a gift from God and keep moving. But I have realized today that is not as easy as I use to see it. My mother was victim of having same sex all through her children. She gave birth to eleven children and all the male children kept doing until it was just the four os us ladies remaining. I saw my mother lived a sorrowful life because she don't have a male child. I'm a Nigerian and from the eastern part. An average Igbo man prefers a crippled male child to a healthy female child. To them all female don't worth anything because they believe a female is another man's property. Infact in the olden days Igbo ladies don't go to school because their fathers conclude that a female child is going to another man to enrich him. So there will be no need to train another man's property. Back then if you are a girl child you will have to put up with all of these until you get married.

When a lady gets married and she starts having female kids what it automatically means is that she is not welcomed in that family. The husband will soon start looking for another woman who will give him male children. When the second woman comes in and give birth to a male child that will be the end of the first wife who gave birth to only female children. She will be treated as if she was a slave who was bought with money that don't have any right. The woman with the male child takes over the heart of the man.

DESIGNER BABIES

Oh yes because of what I have listed above I believe a woman should be allowed to make the choice of what gender of the baby she will give birth to. As a little girl back then I use to pray a simple prayers asking God to give me only male children instead of only female children. This was because of the situation I saw my mother in. I am a girl child so is clear that I can't hate my gender but because of the situation we find ourselves we pray that we should make our choices.

This i know may sound somehow but I believe is for the best. For some who needs girl child should be given and for those who needs male child should also be given. Why should some have too many boys and another have too many girls? I think that it should be balance.

In conclusion, I only answered based on the question. No one should think that I am an ungrateful person. No. I appreciate God for every gift. But I only answered this hoping that one day people can be given that kind of opportunities
