You won't say that because people will die in war and stop going to war as a military personnel. It is your duty to fight and protect the people of your country because that is what you are meant to do. Yes it might not favor you today, but tomorrow you still get prepared for another one. This is life for us

If it was back then when I was still naive and had little understand I would have said yes we should stop punishment because people are not getting the lessons from it. But today that I have experienced a lot and know a lot I think that punishment is very necessary in every society. Without punishment how do you think that the world will be today? Now that we have the law to punish people and still crime is in the increase in our society. Which is better? To punish or not to punish?

I will answer that question with a story of what happened around my vicinity years back. We have this case of a very young man who stole a bike and even wounded the owner of the bike before making away with the bike. Maybe he thought that the owner of the bike won't recognize him, so he moves around town with the same bike in the same city where he stole the bike. Long story cut short, he was caught and the angry people killed him in instantly. The surprising aspect of everything is that one of the persons that killed him was caught stealing weeks after and he was killed too. What happened? That should be the question here. Did he not learn enough lessons from the guy that was killed right in front of him and he was also among the people that killed him?

I tell you something. This second guy might say to himself that the first guy that was killed was not smart enough. He will convince himself that no one will get hold of him stealing because he is a smart guy. This is the lie from the pit of hell and he believed it until he was also killed for the same act.

Yes. I believe that punishment is very good despite the fact that some people have refused to learn from the mistake of others. The choose to make their own mistakes so that they will know it looks like. This is how this life it. I have some young ladies that will never understand why they should stay away from sex until after marriage. Not until they get pregnant and the guy reject it, or get a deadly deases that will send them to their early grave. We must keep punishing them and I believe that there are still some people who are learning their own lessons from the punishment of others.
