Minimum wage and the least paid workers.

Hello beautiful people in this amazing community. We are currently in week 211 episode 1, which talks about minimum wage in different countries. I have noticed that some countries take very good care of their civil servants, while some don't. That is why when you visit some countries you will see their civil servants living a very good life with their families and in some other countries, people suffer because they are not paid very well. Some government don't bother how people survive in their country, whereas those that care make sure that everyone is living a very comfortable life within their country. This and more we shall find out as we dig deeper into the topic for the week.

Minimum wage, just like the name it is the least that you can be paid as a civil servants in any country. Well this is so funny because lots of government don't get to pay their workers the minimum wage that they deserve.

I see civil service as a prison that cages people for as long as they are there. How much are we talking about? What is minimum wage? The truth is that in Nigeria the minimum wage that the least civil servant will receive is supposed to #77,000 which is what was agreed to be given. But unfortunately we have some governors who refused to pay their workers the said amount because of their own selfish purposes. Workers keep working everyday and at the end of the month the receive pie nut as their salary which will not be enough to settle their bills for one week. The remaining three weeks in the month they will keep living in dept until the next salary comes. This is the situation for an average Nigerian who is struggling to survive here in this country. Sad enough we still have the bandits, theft and the corrupt system that won't let them survive no matter how hard They try. This is a very pathetic situation and that is my reason reason not to go into the civil service.

DOUBLE OF MINIMUM WAGE IN NIGERIA

With the situation of the country today even if one was earning #200,000 every month it won't go anywhere to solve problems. It can only be used to solve part of the problems and the rest will be left there. Waiting for another money to surface so that they will continue from where they stopped. House rent is gradually increasing every year. Food stuff is adding in price and even fuel price is becoming something else. And because of the high cost of the price of fuel things are becoming more expensive everyday and yet no increasment in salary. Everyone civil servants still goes home with the same amount as before.

MY DECISION
I made this decision even before graduating from school that I won't waste my time to serve this country unless I am paid very well because the government will keep using their workers to enrich themselves and impoverished the people and they also enjoy seeing their people living in poverty everyday.
