I Cherish My Privacy

Privacy is said to be "when someone is having his or her personal life in check" Which means the public does not have access to your personal details, lifestyle, financial status, etc.
I love my privacy because all my life that has been my way of living and how I wanted it to be, humans generally can be dangerous sometimes so I can't tell who is who in this world we are now.

Having a private life doesn't mean I will shut myself off from the world, having my privacy doesn't mean I won't have friends or talk to people in my neighborhood. To me having my privacy means keeping check of what I do in life and how I relate with people as well.

Some people can not be trusted with our lives and that is why they must not know too much about you, some things are personal which no one must have access to and those things are, phone passwords, ATM PINs, account details, and some other things.

So with all these things I have said it proves that I choose my privacy over freedom of speech, who does freedom of speech help anyway? When all you want to say is going to be meaningless to people who are supposed to make the changes e.g. the government.

Despite the freedom of speech that we have in this country, has anyone ever told the truth? or let me say have you ever seen anyone that said the truth and still stayed alive? I guess not because the truth is bitter and hard to believe.

Freedom of speech can't fetch me money or can I just enter into the CBN and ask for money because I have freedom to speak and then they will give it out? That is not possible, why not have my privacy and peace of mind then work hard and earn for myself and my family?

Meanwhile, the privacy we are talking about will allow me to excel in my professional career and it will allow me to have the kind of lifestyle I wanted in the future. So why go for freedom of speech when my words won't change anything in the world?

I cherish my privacy so much, I also have the right to have it because having my privacy is the only thing that can assure me of my freedom, and it will also help me to deal with my life and problems personally without stressing myself.

We are all different, so what works for me is having my privacy and what works for others might be freedom of speech. But to me, my privacy is the best thing that I have ever wanted and the only thing that could have a positive effect on me.

I remember a friend asking me to lend him my second phone till the next day and I told him, "Man this is my private property so I can't do that" he wasn't happy that I didn't give him my phone and then he said to me, "What are friends for? if not to share things and rub minds together".

Well to me that was wrong Even if I want to share things, not my private property, even if we want to rub minds not my personal life matters.
I love it when I have control over my life and not when someone is helping me to run my life and family for me, so I will choose my privacy over and over again because that is the only thing that is sure in the world we live in now.
