The Era Of Smart Kids…

It’s no news that children of this generation are born intelligent, should I call it the effect of the evolution they are born to, or I just say they inherited right from the womb? They are called the children of the computer age.

Gone are days in the past when our forefathers would have to put their hands over their heads before they could get to school, our generation was different because we started our education at an early stage and it played a greater role on our intellects. But for this generation. They want to prove us all wrong.

I remember a time when I was about to join Facebook for the first time, I couldn’t navigate the website that fast, and it took me a few days after repeatedly spending my money in cyber cafes to get it right. Same way when Android phones were out, we were not used to it before, I had to dedicate my time to learning how the Android phone operates and how to navigate some apps too.

With all of these, it took me some time and sacrifice to have all of these done.

Kids nowadays are just way different. They’re ready to prove their intelligence is not by being educated. The last child of my aunt, she is about four years of age now. She’s grown up now.

When she was a year plus, around the stage, she started mastering how to walk and how to speak. She surprised everyone with her ways. The first thing she does is that she loves her dad so much that she will wait until late till her dad arrives from work, then as soon as he arrives, she will get up to welcome him, then immediately get to the kitchen and get him the meal that's been preserved for him.

She already knew where her mum kept the flask of food and the jug of water. If anyone tries to serve him other than her, she would cry till the food is returned to that spot and she serves him herself.

At some point, it became a norm for her and no one tried to drag the responsibility with her among her siblings. She does the same thing in the morning before he leaves for work too.

Her smartness and intelligence were always on the increase, at some point she recognized her dad's phone from her mum’s. Even though both of them use the same phone. She is barely 2 years of age. There are times when her siblings would try to confuse her by uploading her dad's picture as a home screen and lock screen on her mum’s phone. Yet she still identifies them uniquely.

The mind-blowing part of her intelligence is that she can operate her mum and dad's phone, she already studied where games are and how to play them, she knows where movie players are and she will successfully navigate her way there and play any movie of her choice. She can differentiate YouTube movies from normal movies and she would put on data if she wants to watch from YouTube.

Sincerely, I knew she didn’t know all of these before, but seeing what they do in her presence, she was so quick to master it all and repeat them successfully. I appreciate her intelligence, and I hope she grows and makes good use of it in the future.

I guess she was into digital stuff in her past life 😅, that is the funny thing about kids like this you began to wonder how she was able to figure out things we consider to be complex. Being able to tell the difference between her mum's phone and her dad's phone is remarkable.

I also have had the same struggle when I tried to make my Facebook account 😂. I actually struggled for many days. But, now newborn babies know how to do login and logout!

This kid is indeed from the Computer age. Most kids find it difficult to navigate such things. All they do is cry and sleep.😂
