Holiday Is Coming…

It’s another time of the year again. It's December and I am sure many would know that as it ends the count of the annual calendar it also clocks the celebration of Christmas and welcoming the new year all at the same pace.

That's one thing we should appreciate about life if it were to be that we keep working all the days of our life without even having time for rest. Then the case might not be as interesting as we have it now.

I was talking with my bro recently. Our discussion was about his workplace planning and preparing some rewards and gifts for all of the company's workers. He was thrilled that the joy every worker gets from receiving those packages is amazing. And then maybe there might not be a holiday for them.

Yeah, the nature of his work doesn’t give room for holidays. While some others do. It depends. As for me, I am always with the mindset that I want to have my own free time and freedom for myself and not get so entangled with some kind of work that I won't even have time for myself.

This has driven me towards a path where I thread, I have been on the farm almost every day of my life. This is because I deal with livestock and life stocks are not like arable agricultural practices where you can just plant and then leave them till they grow, and apply a few management strategies before harvest.

Livestock is way different because you have to feed and provide adequate care for the animals if you want to yield a nice and fruitful harvest.

So as for Holidays??

I don’t have holidays, even I don’t have weekends. Every day is a working day for me. But won’t you ask me how and when I take a rest? At least I am human. That’s all because of the nature of my job so I can decide to take a vacation whenever I wish and if I wish I won't.

I remember last year I took two weeks free from work. After I successfully marketed the last stock with me, I gave myself a two-week break just to relax and rest, and have time for family and friends. But this year is different.

There will be no holiday for me. I recently had another production and it will cost my time. It takes about a month and a half for a successful production. And here I am having it by this time. So all days are fully booked and dedicated towards it.

I really need money and my business growth is paramount at this building and growing stage. I can't take the risk of not working, but it also costs me nothing if I should work and have a solid foundation then with time I get to rest at leisure.

Holiday or No holidays what matters most is deriving joy and pleasure doing whatever you are doing at that moment. If it gives you freedom, embrace it. And if it doesn’t keep up to it. Everything comes with its rewards.
